jeffbroadslover
Just been looking at the Barnes Brinkcraft Camera and noticed that someone has decided to create a new portable rubbish sight. It looks like there are about three bags of rubbish there already Jeff
TrevorAndDeirdre
I looked as well and watched one person put in some bags.
Hockham Admiral
But they still have a rubbish site on the other side of the bridge, John. This is just laziness, surely?
jeffbroadslover
I would have thought that a yard as big as BB would have a rubbish skip somewhere that could be used. I'm surprised that someone from the yard has not been given the task of removing the trolley load of rubbish. After all it is in a position for all to see and does not give a good impression of the yard's standards. Surely a member of staff or management has noticed it ! Jeff Or....perhaps their bins have not been emptied, yet, and have told folk to put it there, very doubtful I know, but... Iain

rightsaidfred
I have not seen this particular shot so cannot comment, but I did notice at the weekend that where the bin on the rhond has been removed people have started dumping rubbish by the yellow salt bin in the car park, I have also heard large numbers of bottles being dumped where facilities are still available close to pubs, draw your own conclusions. Liberty
Yes, good point. The glass recycling bin at Womack is completely surrounded by empty bottles - loads of them.
TheQ
I've seen a great deal more portable rubbish sites this year... Lots more hire boats with full bin bags sat on the back of the boat!!!!

ranworthbreeze
While people on the Broads are struggling to find anywhere to leave their rubbish, I see that Yarmouth is currently trialing a futuristic waste bin. http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/environment/futuristic_bin_trailed_in_yarmouth_in_bid_to_cut_costs_1_4636384 Regards Alan
Baitrunner
I noticed one of those in Wells by the Harbour at the weekend.
vanessan
Pity the edp doesn't use a proof reader or maybe the bin is actually being 'trailed' around!
Guest
There has been one of those futuristic bins at Ranworth for at least 2 months. Not sure if BA or council but is on the car park outside the shop.
jeffbroadslover
I notice that in the picture the solar powered bin is sighted in the shade !?* Let's hope it proves to be successful and is used to replace all the bins that have recently been removed Jeff
Islander
Single bins at various locations may be successful but multiple bins in say Yarmouth market place that self communicate with the depot will never work. Three bins will fill at different rates so unless they check all the bins after the first one 'rings in' then multiple trips will be needed to maintain them! Waste of time and money. Don't fix what ain't broke. Colin
