Where in Lincolnshire are you, Karen (my lovely wife) and i have had a couple of holidays up there over the last 2 years. I love the place because it`s so uncommercialised, and very uncrowded. We stayed in Greetham Retreat about 2 miles east of Horncastle. I`d love to go back to see how the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage have got on with Just Jane, as i`m hoping to have a taxi run in her before she`s finished and flying. Speedtriple it's your lucky day...take advantage of this special once in a lifetime offer...a weekend in Timbo's retreat in deepest darkest Lincolnshire. Plenty of room...Uncle Albert won't mind topping and tailing, should you choose the luxury break we'll even shower him before you arrive. Plain Jane can accommodate with a Taxi,well...not so much a taxi as a croggy on the back of her pushbike, but we offer more than just Jane...there's Sandra an' all.Send a signed blank cheque to Timbo's boat fund to guarantee your booking. Terms and conditions apply.

Simonboatshift
Hi Paws and everyone! we too are new to both the broads and to the forum. We have a Birchwood 25 called Aquaholic moored at Ferry Marina in Horning. We were on board last week and had a little cruise up to Potter Heigham and to Wroxham. We absolutely love it. Can be busy at times as we have found out already but still enjoyable at any time! We have 3 small kids and unfortunately the 25 is quickly being outgrown by them so we are in the process of getting a bigger boat. keep an eye out and hopefully we see you.

Hockham Admiral
An NBN burgee is a really good recognition point! Apply above.... (Plus a burgee pole from Brian Wards; 10% off for Members)
Paws
Where can you moor in Wroxham as we can't get under the bridge thank you
riyadhcrew
Try Barnes Brinkcraft. I think they allow private boats for a mooring fee. If not, book the Hotel Wroxham, again for a fee.

Simonboatshift
We also do not fit under the bridge so stop at Barnes Brinkcraft. When you tie up just pop into reception to let them know how long you will be and to check where you are tied up is ok with them and they are happy to have you. If you stay after 5pm then they take £10 for an overnight mooring. Been there a couple of times now and had no problems.
tjg1677
Hello Paws, seems we have a bit in common i.e. ex canal dwellers, from Lincolnshire and now making special guest appearances in Horning....lol. Quite agree about the locks, they do get a bit tedious and become rather large bottlenecks at peak times!! well hello to a fellow yellowbelly and maybee see you round and about at the big H. bye Trev.
