Might be worth a call. The bridge eliminates all the steps. But, due to Covid there is a one way system which means exiting via the old steps. They may be able to arrange exit via the bridge, depending how busy they are. e.g. a late slot when there won't be anyone behind you. Chelsea14Ian
Just come away from Padstow. Boy was it busy I've seen less people in the centre of London. Think everyone and there dogs were there today. And there were lots of dogs. We took about four attempts parking. Got in ,went to the Lobster hatchery. Then had a walk around. Our table was booked for 3.00 pm.Can highly recommend Rojano.Food, service very good.My advice book in advance. Lots of people trying to get a table without pre booking.Padstow so busy. Not sure I would come back in the summer. Some photos.
ranworthbreeze
Hello Ian & Marina, the restaurant looks OK but the town and people need to be avoided. Regards Alan
Mouldy
Personally, I prefer to keep to the less commercialised parts of Cornwall. Places like Newquay and Padstow are just too busy and with the current restrictions on foreign travel in force, will be even more so through the current season. ChrisB
Whenever we went there, we prefered to stay across the estuary in Rock.

Regards Alan True glad I went, the Restaurant was lovely, but the town was very busy. What I not explained much. I now have a mobility scooter and a blue badge. Very limited disabled parking anywhere plus you can park if you find a bay ,but you have to pay full price.

YnysMon
Take care Ian. One thing I’ve learned with my father-in-law moving in with us, it’s easy to contact NHS services wherever you are in the UK. We currently have Dad temporarily registered with our surgery in MK. Just as well, as Graham took his Dad for an eye test today. Result: optician is making an urgent referral for serious cataracts, so is sending the results to the MK surgery.
Cal
We tend to visit Cornwall in October when it is a lot quieter and still relatively mild.

Chelsea14Ian
There's certainly hot spots in Cornwall. That said because most people are staying at home, there's hotshots across the country. In time it may re balance. One things for sure my first time in Cornwall, wish I had visited before.Truly beautiful. Not sure where we're go today, maybe back to Looe, sure it will be a good day, despite the mist and light rain.

ChrisB
Although the West is my spiritual home, I changed my allegiance some 20 years ago. I prefer Pembrokeshire, as my late wife used to say it is like Cornwall 40 years ago. Here is Whitesands Bay, one of hundreds of places on this beautiful coast.

CambridgeCabby
When leaving Looe by car just past the (I believe Shell) garage , on your right hand side you pass what is now a Bhuddist retreat , if poss could you snap a pic of it , it’s where we stayed when it was a B and B and we don’t have a pic we can find of it . It’s a low cottage with gothic leaded windows ? attached a street view pic

ranworthbreeze
It is many years since we stopped and had a meal at the Jamaica Inn. The meal was OK be what touched me was the remoteness of the inn.

We are booked in at the Tan Hill next month with the van on our way back from the Lake District. We don't expect the food or drink to be exceptional there either but the location should more than make up for that.
Chelsea14Ian
Coming away from the Inn now.I had bacon sandwich (very big) and coffee.Marina sausage sandwich and tea.went to the museum and shops. All very good.On the way there, very misty and cool. Now a little overcast but clear.Even the sun's made a appearance 😋.
