Brooms Up For Sale

Recommended Posts

Interesting, I just found this within the application:

From the BA response to the plans - "Some appropriate planting within the constraints of the site would help soften the visual impact of the proposals on the local area and provide amenity for users and biodiversity benefits.
The type and location of planting should have regard to limiting wind shadow on the river in the interests of sailing."

I sometimes feel somewhat disadvantaged. A simple question? Who are these people?

Who do they seek to impress.

I see that there is a potential buyer.

If it does indeed happen (and of course buying a Boatyard is not as simple as buying your lunch), then I think an owner who is actually interested in running a Boatyard would be a very good thing for that site.

If you're referring to the one I've seen, I think it could be a very positive outcome.

The fact that the info is in the public domain is something I find a bit disconcerting though. The info I saw was announcing that Heads of Terms had been agreed. I wouldn't expect it to be made public at that stage, as it could weaken the hand of either party. It sounds more like someone has leaked info to me.

I believe that the new owner will impress you.

Agreed , can we avoid spreading rumours as to potential new ownership until such a time that any “deal” is made public by those involved .

Thank you

Are we talking Taxi Rank at Ranworth. Sorry I've just messed our reputation. :default_biggrin:

I’ve seen a post somewhere or other that said the staff have been told. So although not all the t’s have been crossed it sounds like it will happen. Hope so!

That's what I read and the presumed new owner commented to that effect on said post
