Might be talking rollocks (often do!) but are either of them insulated??? Mine had quite a thick polystyrene?? covering. I also ensured it came with an emersion heater which was eventually wired into the 240 circuit..
That almost suggests that the original camera was a free trial or some such special offer and now needs a more permanent subscription arrangement to continue
Just as an after thought! Wouldn't it be something to one day see both "Broadland Grebe" and the Harvey Eastwood 37 side by side in the water in all the splendour of restoration and skill!
Thanks very much for continuing to spoil us with tales of the work you are doing. I really enjoy reading these and seeing the way you achieve solutions to problems a lot of us would simply ring someone up (could even be you we would think of !) to solve! The fact that she is a beautiful boat is a bonus!
Robin Godber's book "A Broad Experience" is well worth a read.

Nay, nothing so clever. We were just very regular hirers at Alpha whilst John was there. We always went off season such as January and March. As such we were more often than not the only boat going out. We would all gather for a long natter and catch up both on setting off and returning. We especially found Mrs Jillings very friendly and pleasant. Young Langford was a "bump" back then.
Might be worth having a word with Rick at the Lion about electric posts. I suspect he will always be interested in improving the moorings and folks experience here.
I too have had the pleasure of long natter with John on more than one occasion but a good while ago. If I were to say Langford continually interrupted would that give a clue as to when?
If you can run to a genuine danfoss compressor 12v fridge then I would definitely say this is the way to go. I have had 3 Waeco and one Inlander and all have performed faultlessly.
Saw this elsewhere!
"There are no trains on those days but no access for the bridge operator if the bridge is open for river traffic unlike Somerleyton where there is a walkway to the station."
Makes sense if you think about it.
I will freely admit I worship the water that these boats float on! To have three (at least) on the Broads looking so splendid is grand. Highly impressed with the work you are doing and, even if it is french, a new engine always looks the dogs! Like your nav lights, can I ask where you found those please?
Personal opinion only but avoid the Lowliner. The Aquafibre is a much better bet. If the other Alpha is the centre cockpit with sliding roof then that's OK as well.
