  1. I totally agree with you Jean. In my earlier post I was referring to a week or two week break. If I am going to pay that sort of money I would expect to be able to see and use the whole system in that time A long weekend or short break would be amazing on this boat, the parts you can reach on a short break just as magical x
  2. She's beautiful but so is the Chet and the Ant. I would much rather a boat that fits so to speak than a boat that restricts cruising. I agree with Abouttime, the cruise from Wroxham bridge up to Coltishall is stunning. I would never want to miss out on that for the sake of luxury and space x
  3. Congratulations Biker. I hope you and Mrs Biker have lots of lovely, happy cruising times aboard her. You may not be able to afford a pint now but at least you'll be afloat pint less x
  4. Hi Smogs, so sorry to read of the loss of your mum, condolences to you and your family It's heart warming that your wicked sense of humour still shines through, bless you
  5. I do love the Wayford Bridge Inn, like many of us I have been there loads of times. The service and food always excellent, the wine's not bad either I've seen the garden rooms, they do look very nice. Have a lovely next break x
  6. Thank you for this Graham, I am going to show my mum as it might be good for my parents for a short stay. Even if they don't cruise they would still be on the water x
  7. I've had a fear of clowns since childhood. I think what I fear the most now is when the lads actually take their masks off x
  8. It was a tad misty that day Welcome aboard the forum Debbie. Peter aka Jenny Morgan no longer posts here. We wish he still posted, he is sorely missed x
  9. How awful for them to be stuck in such a terrible place. All that clambering up and down just to get a pint x
  10. It's good to read the little girl is okay with a slight concussion. You can't beat the boating community for giving assistance in times of need. Well done to the lady and you guys for helping out x

    Bed Bugs

Lads week is about to commence, I think bed bugs are the least of the Broads worries x
  12. Have a safe journey and a great time all of you x

    Bed Bugs

Oh my goodness this topic has made my skin crawl. I don't care where they are as long as they aint in my bed Watched a documentary on bugs or part of it once, I couldn't sleep for a week Jeez I'm itching now, thanks for that Andrew x
  14. Hope you feel better soon Ian. Take care and have a lovely weekend x
  15. Try maggot or worm. I've caught some nice Perch using them x
  16. Thank goodness they were there and the little one is okay and thankfully wearing a life jacket Well done to the paddleboarders
  17. I've always loved crossing Breydon, the boys, when they were much younger thought they were going out to sea. The choppier the better. I've never come across any Krakens or sea monsters either. I reckon it's just a myth started from those moored South to stop the hoards Enjoying your write up Kate, thank you x
  18. Thank you Chris and Brenda, thoroughly enjoyed your write up
  19. Misleading titles, daft answers and silly sausages, where would we be without this place, eh? Love it Thank you Dan for putting us right on the subject and very interesting too although I think a boat fire or some such would have been much more interesting and also could have resulted in ten pages of speculation x (just kidding of course)
  20. Absolutely spot on I can go to the cinema, the shops, theme parks etc any day of the week. I come to the Broads to live afloat for a week or two on a basic little boat Look at Jeans lovely little video, that's what it's all about x
  21. Lovely read over a Sunday morning Latte, thank you Chris Well done at the bridge, you got through with an inch to spare so don't worry if he filmed it, it won't be on social media. If you had hit the bridge however, a whole different story x
  22. You are so right M, there's nothing quite like a Broads holiday and being afloat. With the rising costs, closing of moorings and paying to have to moor on top of all that, normal, hard working people won't be able to afford it and that's the real shame of it all As for the weather, I blame it on non vegan boats x
