  4. I asked the exact question a while ago when we had Cerise Lady serviced and was told that no two engines run exactly the same , especially when they are of an age . That said, they should adjust your throttles so they are balanced so your boat travels straight when they are in the same morse position
  5. VAT is a tax levied by U.K. gov which is collected at source by a third party , ie The holiday company or hire yard , shop , tradesman etc etc ,if the level of vat is reduced then the respective agent has no right to keep monies that were in effect never theirs . When customers paid for their holidays they were subject to x pounds plus vat and if they paid vat at 20% they are legally entitled to a return of the tax reduction given, any retention of these funds I am in no doubt is illegal .

  8. There is a (relatively) new American Diner by Wroxham Bridge , and it’s not bad
  9. Parts should cost circa £200 , most garages will quote 4 hours labour , actually takes 2.5 hours max
  10. When solo helming i ALWAYS wear my life saver whilst underway or mooring , Katie wears hers when she goes to lower the mast for bridges , or goes onto the deck when underway. on the Southern waters we wear them as a matter of course , at all times. A moments loss of concentration can cause one to fall overboard and a then a life saver can often live up to its name .
  11. Any gov irrespective of leadership or party can and could only act on the advice given by the experts , and irrespective of party it is highly likely that the same experts would have been called into action . Also any action taken towards management and containment of the virus is dependant on the population adhering to the rules and regulations laid down which we have all seen to be ignored and abused , as a nation we can have no complaints that so and so should have done this or that when a large percentage of the populous behaved and continue to do so in the irresponsible manner that we have all seen . Until a “cure” for Covid-19 is found we will all need to continue to follow the very simple original instructions which is minimise any contact and keep at least 1metre distance ,wash hands or sanitise frequently ,avoid hand to face contact and now in addition wear a mask when indoors , not difficult or confusing and it may well save your life and the lives of others
  12. The Kings Arms at Wroxham (Hoveton for the pedantic) used to display a Broads map in the waterside garden so possibly there ?

  15. He has a good act to follow whilst the pub was closed , I had the details sent to me by the agents as was considering maybe perhaps returning to the trade . It was a condition of the stern on moorings being permitted that they had full time mooring staff during the season
