  6. Suffolk Soffits, held in place by Norfolk Noggins
  7. Probably inported from out of area
  8. I hate to disappoint, they are very long lengths of board, originally used as a soffit, some ends have come adrift and over time have bent down. They are still secured by the remainder of the board and cant fall off. The roof is sound but the soffits have been affected by weather over many years.
  9. I think you will find this particular subject has been flogged to death on another thread. Probably best not to start it all over again.

    Hit And Run..

All very true, then don't do anything, especially get the phone out to video, instead use it to call broads control or the yard.

    Hit And Run..

The ToS have been around as long as I have been a member and I agreed to them when I joined. The incident has been described, why do people actually need to see the video. What is of more concern should be why someone felt the need to video it rather than help the helm by pushing the front out. All sorts of rubbish exist on FB, do we really need it here. Some sites encourage or allow racist and sexist content, personal insults, that appears to make them popular. Do we really want to follow them to the lowest common denominator.
  12. Posts like these should remind us all of the secondary benefit of this forum. The ability to communicate with others in a way that wasn't possible 20 years ago, to share and support, to encourage. The acrimonious nature of a few recent posts should not be allowed to detract from what is the friendliest Broads forum or social media platform around. People are lonely, fearful and facing changes in their lives that none of us expected at the begining of the year. I have a request for ALL members, When you are expending effort to define and dissect every shade of grey, from black to white, just pause, count to ten, and wonder if your time could be used to support someone rather than trying to score points off each other.
  13. Thank you Limbo, erm, Dimbo, sorry Timbo, for your advice. I ordered it and recieved it. What a fine fully functioning middle finger you have, My days of hand modelling have been ruined. If I could post a photo I would show you my middle finger, damaged and scarred.
  14. Perhaps been asked before, but here goes, Is there any reason propellers can't be retro fitted with safety cages.
  15. Mine was at RAF Seleta in Singapore. Same method administered by Royal Marine father when I was 4 years old. Then we had plenty of sun lotion applied.
  16. The Broads are for everyone, from a SUP to a 50' "gin palace". Having been moored on the Yare last week I was bounced around by hire craft, "gin palaces" and a 15' speedbboat, all within the speed limit. The biggest problem is lack of awareness of the wash they are creating going past moored boats. The 52' "gin palace" glided past with little wash, I only knew it was there becauce it blocked the sun out , the speedboat bounced us around. The smaller Brooms create a lot more wash even within the posted speed limit.
  17. Mine and one other member on here, have the same two cabin ones, Barnes had the three with the open plan four poster type, they sold one that is now in Surrey and they have a second one up for sale, very odd layouts. There were 3 of each type built, the barnes ones being converted from caravan carriers and the later three ( blue roofs ) were designed as cabin cruisers from scratch rather than being conversions.
  18. It was moved down to Bristol about 3 years ago to use as residential. The other two from the fleet remain on the Broads.
  19. The Ferry House is great, nice atmosphere and very friendly. You all looked very happy as you passed Brundall Gardens.
  20. Cruise ships are not easy to sterilize hence the high incidence of Norovirus.
  21. We leave on Saturday after two weeks onboard, we have had some great weather. Back again early October. Have a great time.
