Any ideas what the above name could mean?

It’s what my day boat is called and I have absolutely no idea what it means. Neither does Google.

Is it originally from Sunberry on Thames? Suneberie was it's former name

JF is on the nail there I think. Mrs Nog has just Googled it and got the same result.

According to Craig's database its had that name since 1992/3 so possibly more than one previous owner??

Ok. I’ll take it thank you.
I was hoping for something a lot more exciting than that
My only superstition is renaming boats so I’m stuck with it.

So hard to choose a new name. The boat we are hoping to get next week has a girl's name, but no-one we know so we have to change it.

Thinking of "Init", as in:

"Why?"

" 'Cause it's in it, innit?"

What d'you reckon?

One easy way out is to take SWMBO's first name, pre-fix it with Lady and it'll be brownie points all round, never fails!

Have to be careful in these PC days otherwise you might end up with a Lady Tom or a Lady Richard, which perish the thought might be shortened to .................. :default_icon_redface:

Doing things like that you might as well name it

Under the thumb

Lost me balls

Me Mrs is me Gaffer etc

I like some of the ideas for new names.
But it still ain’t happening .... can’t change the name of a boat
I do realise how ridiculous that is!!!

How about options for what SUNEBERIE could stand for?

Boats often have a location underneath the name, either where the boat is berthed, or where the owners are from.

Chose a new name and put it above SUNEBERIE and just pretend that is where you or the previous owners lived. :default_icon_liar:

Is your boat of Swedish origin? If so, maybe it was named in Swedish and the name has never been changed.

It is indeed of Swedish origin.

Call it abba then (a beautiful boating adventure).

I think I may be pursued by trade descriptions if I put beautiful in the name
