grendel
Well we are under way, Acle bridge inn at Lunchtime, then a trip down to Breydon where we headed across in line abreast, with a fifth boat at the end of the line (the rangers were keeping an eye on us). Our destination had been somerleyton, but half way across Breydon, somebody remembered that the pub there was currently shut, so St Olaves and the Bell Inn were selected for our evening stop.the step back onto the boat is quite a big one and we have one leg overboard getting back on the boat so far, and half of them are still in the pub.

Polly
Do you really think they are going to be visiting pubs? Surely not!
Captain
Hi I believe the Locks Inn is closed at the moment, I moored in Geldeston Dyke and visited the Wherry (nice pub ) instead, presumably explains why the Lads are there. Neil
JamesLV
Yep, apparently closed at the moment someone we spoke to at Thurne said the same.

Polly
Oh yes indeed, and if they are playing "Pass the Parcel'" it might be safest to leave at once if you did venture there!

Good to see you all though, like I say if only in passing. So you’re all at Acle Bridge tonight? That was Wednesday’s mooring for us, last night was South Walsham but Ems fancied some more driving practice so we spent a couple of pints (hours) at Thurne on the (sort of) way. vanessan
I can hear the Broads heaving a huge sigh of relief! The pubs though, that’s a different matter. All the extra staff they took on won’t be needed any more.
grendel
home now, a bit of a boo-boo I topped the water on the car up, drove all the way home then got stuck in traffic and steam started coming out of the bonnet, I had forgotten to put the cap on, I pulled over, and the cap was still on the top of the engine where I had left it, so I put it back on, not wanting to flood the engine with cold water, so finished the last 2 miles home, the temp gauge still said normal, so I may have got away with it, will check later.
