webntweb
There are three 'agree' emojis: thanks, like, love. Isn't it time there was a 'thumb down' one for people who disagree with what is being said; it would give the poster and the membership some idea of members' feelings on a post.
trambo
I was thinking exactly the same.

Just for you webntweb, although I fear just how negative my reputation could get if there was a thumbs down reaction
grendel
the thumbs down emoji holds too many negative connotations, and we dont do negative here. 6 2 2

Quite agree Grendle. One or two posters on here I would like to see a big raspberry icon for. But it’s better to just ignore and walk away

Vaughan
I don't think I like the sound of this. Surely if you disagree with an opinion, you are free to post your own opinion. This is a forum in the Roman spirit of democratic discussion. But not in the coliseum spirit of "Lions three ; Christians nil"!
MaceSwinger
I think a thumb-down is a far too easy way of being dismissive without offering any indication of why. Agreement is quick and neat but for disagreement there needs to be debate and discussion, it's how we all grow. Now hiding behind my desk waiting for someone to disagree with me
SwanR
I’ve often thought we could do with a ‘wow’ option but wouldn’t want to see a thumbs down.
Poppy
Most of any 'thumbs down' for me I suspect would come from Mods
Ray
A "wow" would be handy for the Broad Ambition - The Model thread. Other than there I never say wow 😁
Chelsea14Ian
So So far the thumb down option has got the thumbs down. Its simple if people disagree are we do from time to time, just post another view. 3

trambo
So we have to send a reasoned well thought out answer to all those who put out ill-informed and risible arguments whom the herd all then press their like buttons. I think not. Give us a thumbs down, it's only democratic. Fred

Guest Jayfire
No. But yes. We should, although we shouldn't really. I'm giving this thread a thumbs down but it's a thumbs up from me. Let's be democratic but on the other hand can't we have a dictatorship...... erm, just remind me what option keeps me from getting banned??? grendel
no, otherwise every time you used it you would be up in front of the moderators for being confrontational
