  1. I'll refrain from answering that. Not only because this is a family forum that should be respected and treated as such....I don't want to incriminate myself x
  2. Nice should be all year long. I've been taught to treat people how you wish to be treated yourself or it will come back and bite you on the bum x
  3. You are an absolute inspiration. I know this is just 'a forum' but your friends on here have got your back, we are all routing for you and I'll turn you into an Arsenal supporter if it's the last thing I do All the very best to you, Marina and family x
  4. Thank you Ian, love it. Now all the non believers, the bah humbuggers and scrooges are just going to have to accept that Christmas is on it's way and there's nothing they can do about it Keep calm, get prepared and it will soon be Easter x
  5. That is good news, thank you Graham. It's good to know it will be staying as a pub and not turned into housing like so many pubs now days. The views across Hickling Broad are stunning too x
  6. This lot are so clever on here although I don't have a clue what they're talking about and what it's got to do with horses is quite beyond me I hope it's all going well for you Biker I love the title of this thread........Cruise on the Ouse and when you're moored up somewhere quite delightful........booze and snooze x
  7. Oh my goodness! Santa baby, put these under the tree for me We decided not to go to the display, it has not stopped raining and very windy, it would just be so uncomfortable so I've done a deal with the boys, x box and pizza for them and a bottle of Prosecco for me x
  8. You've been a tad quiet on here Ian, I was worried and going to PM you this weekend but it seems you've been busy doing your Charity work once again, you're a star We were going to a big parade and display tonight but I think it may be cancelled, the wind and rain are relentless at the moment. The field it's being held in is in a slight dip it must be like a swamp, I don't think my pink wellies will hold up Stay warm and safe everyone x

I used to do extra chores and save up my pocket money to spend at Lathams. I would buy the most useless things but I got them from Lathams at Potter, that's what mattered My boys do the same but they prefer Roys Toys We have caused a major thread drift, sorry John x

Hey! You leave Lathams alone. I've spent plenty of pennies on their tat thank you very much Did I just say that out loud x
  11. A pub with a launderette next door, much better I agree with you about the weather Kate, I love a storm on the Broads. Stay safe x
  12. I didn't know whether to laugh or be sad either. When I saw the title I thought how nice, a lovely Fairy Tale to tell my little charges today but sadly not and so near the truth from what I am learning on here We must keep up the good fight, maybe we need our very own Knight in shining armour to rid the Dark Knight for trying to destroy our Watertopia x
  13. You've just described my holiday in that one sentence Absolute bliss x
  14. I or my children have never felt the need to keep up with anyone. Boating holidays have always been the children's choice when discussing our holidays. If families want to go abroad that's fine, if they want a boating holiday that's fine too in my book. What I do find heart wrenching is the amount of children that can do neither because their parents are struggling. They are the ones I truly feel for and consider myself very lucky to be able to make that choice x
  15. They can deny no more. They can be Scrooges and say bah humbug all the day long but it's official ( I know because Carole said) Christmas is on it's way. Yes I said the C word, I said Christmas Christmas Christmas, so there x
  16. I totally agree with you Jean. In my earlier post I was referring to a week or two week break. If I am going to pay that sort of money I would expect to be able to see and use the whole system in that time A long weekend or short break would be amazing on this boat, the parts you can reach on a short break just as magical x
  17. She's beautiful but so is the Chet and the Ant. I would much rather a boat that fits so to speak than a boat that restricts cruising. I agree with Abouttime, the cruise from Wroxham bridge up to Coltishall is stunning. I would never want to miss out on that for the sake of luxury and space x
  18. Congratulations Biker. I hope you and Mrs Biker have lots of lovely, happy cruising times aboard her. You may not be able to afford a pint now but at least you'll be afloat pint less x
  19. Hi Smogs, so sorry to read of the loss of your mum, condolences to you and your family It's heart warming that your wicked sense of humour still shines through, bless you
  20. I do love the Wayford Bridge Inn, like many of us I have been there loads of times. The service and food always excellent, the wine's not bad either I've seen the garden rooms, they do look very nice. Have a lovely next break x
  21. Thank you for this Graham, I am going to show my mum as it might be good for my parents for a short stay. Even if they don't cruise they would still be on the water x
  22. I've had a fear of clowns since childhood. I think what I fear the most now is when the lads actually take their masks off x
  23. It was a tad misty that day Welcome aboard the forum Debbie. Peter aka Jenny Morgan no longer posts here. We wish he still posted, he is sorely missed x
  24. How awful for them to be stuck in such a terrible place. All that clambering up and down just to get a pint x
