Seems just local areas at the moment so not Norfolk and (touch wood) not here in the land of ferrets.
But the Govt are keeping their options open and anything is possible apart from schools.
However Johnson seems keen we should have Christmas so fingers crossed.
Terrible tragedy indeed. I think Carol did a blog about it on her Web site. There was of course the old M and GN rail bridge too connecting with Yarmouth beach station. I wonder if clearance back in the day would be to allow wherry passage?
We've had pump outs there in winter and would fully endorse the above comments. Very friendly and helpful.
They have even allowed us to moor up there for a couple of hours when Mrs Nog asked nicely. Again in winter before the staithe was finished.
Not really. Main attraction for me is the Swan
Having said that Mrs Nog loves trawling up and down the High Street looking at the tat.
There's a Tesco there and cash machines together with chemist, butcher and various take aways and cafes.
Love the drums!!
Interior pub shots from the pre digital age are sadly very rare. No social distancing back then, bet it was a great atmosphere.
Thanks for posting Carol, that's another beer I owe you
There's usually quite a few out in winter. They are probably more hungry then and certainly magically appear for Mrs Nog's corn. Coots seem to congregate in certain places, there's a bend in the river just downstream from Wroxham Broad and there's usually quite a few around there. I wonder if they keep a low profile when the rivers are busy?
That is spot on the nail. I once gave some assistance and advice (after checking it would be welome - I'm no armchair admiral) to a party trying to moor in Upton Dyke. They were very grateful for my very basic advice but all said they didnt tell us that at the (very large) boatyard. Some basic mooring instruction should be essential for novices.
Mmmm, all very interesting. its got Mr H written all over it. He was the one who poured concrete in the gaps behind the moorings at Surlingham Ferry. Done on the cheap.
Poppy does have a good point though. The best/most successful pubs don't rely just on holiday trade.
Watch this space!
Glad to hear your comments about Bridgecraft. Brilliant, friendly family run yard, nothing is too much trouble for them. We've been with them for a while now and can't praise them highly enough.
