  1. We recently spent two weeks on the lovely Broads. Using my IPad I really struggled to get enough access to cope with the rapid increase in Postings........but despite upsetting SWMBO several times as I was paying so much attention to reducing the unready down to zero I managed it. Two weeks after my return I now find that even with good tinternet access I am struggling to do the same. So please pause take a deep breath and slow down, post tortoise style. Then I can keep up. Just joking. Enjoying the posts and increase activity. Welcome to anyone that I may have missed.
  2. Looking forward to it. I do believe Dave volunteered, one step backwards like.
  3. Loved the video ....nawridge.....so posh. Edited to point out I was commenting about the way it was said in the video. Just in case someone thought differently.
  4. Down river of Horning round the bend is a small mooring that gives access to St Benedict's Church. We arrived just after the church shut and decided to wait until it opened in the morning to have a look around as it looks so nice from the outside. With time on our hands and a lovely evening we turned left out of the church left again at the end by the school then all the way into Horning. Nice walk with some very good pubs/restaurants at the end.

    Hi

Welcome from me. Looking forward to the updates.
  6. Clive does say "some of the platinum fleet. I assumed that people with allergies etc would have the option to hire one that never allowed dogs on board. I think it is an excellent idea, not that my dog would ever come with us. He is bad enough in the car. 5 miles and it is a major clean up job. By moving some of the Platinum boats to Acle people can avaid the rush, especially if they are intending to go south.
  7. I like the positive statement at the end Clive. Even Carlsberg used "probably" with that statement.
  8. We thought this was a really nice looking church. Lovely moorings close by and quiet.
  9. Here's one I took last month.
  10. We went through for the night a couple of weeks ago, the boat was 6:09. Plenty of room about an hour before and after low tide. We berthed (just for Griff) on Geldeston Dyke, turning the boat in the entrance to the marina. Lovely stretch. We saw lots of kingfishers on our early morning trip back to Beccles. Recommend it.
  11. I have to say that I read several forums, two in particular I joined this one several years ago when Wattny ( not sure spelt correct) moved. Up to that point I only knew about one. I still read both and find useful articles on both. I find this one to be more friendly and feel more at ease contributing. I just wish I lived in a world where we all got on and loved each other. We don't all have to be the same just respect the difference........so far I have found that here.
  12. Welcome, always lots more to read up on.

    Hello

    Welcome from me too
  14. Griff, if I had asked for tips on Berthing we would have had lots of baby jokes!
  15. We visited the Tower of London today as Sara wanted to see the poppies. I suggested that we had lunch at St Katherine's as it was just across the road. It was not until we got there that she caught on that I only wanted to walk around and look at the boats. Enjoyed it so much, lunch was not bad too. Have a good voyage.
  16. I found Swallow easy to reverse and turn in narrow places as she had a little prop walk. Kingfisher had none and not a very tight turning circle.
