  1. 2016 is certainly turning into a bad year! Perhaps it is something in the water? SueH
  2. Don't know if this has worked. The Koi were not in the least bit bothered! S
  3. Blue 36" Spearfish Radio Controlled Boat. Complete and Ready to Go: Includes: Transmitter, set up for model Receiver, Speed Controller, Servo 12v 7ah sealed lead acid battery Manual Spare Props £80 the lot. If anyone interested and lives locally to Brundall, we will be back up on Moonlight Shadow at the end of May and can bring 'Cloth-Ears' up with us. Best wishes. SueH
  4. When we were there last week there was a no mooring sign outside the cafe. We managed to moor outside the hotel, in solitary splendour. Someone mentioned to Martin that the hotel was considering stopping mooring. If that is the case then Wroxham will become somewhere to avoid with the boat, which will be a great shame.
  5. We were at the pumpout at Brooms when you went past. Gave you a wave. Don't think you saw us though. She looks good. Hope you have lots of fun with her. Have a good trip. SueH
  6. Mandy. We moored at the New Inn Horning for a meal on my brithday. It cost £5 but we had power which was great. In fact the whole time we were on board we managed to get to a power point. Ranworth twice, Potter Heigham Twice. Stokesby twice. Sutton Staithe. St Olaves on the way back to the mooring. Have a good week. Hopefully the cleaners will have done a good job and have not so missed any of Rosie's hairs. SueH
  7. Well here I am. Mistress uses me as her avatar. We are currently on the M25 in a queue that is more like a car park! The junction ahead is closed cos the bridge has a crack in it. There is a detour but there is so much traffic it is taking forever. Master is driving and mistress has got out the laptop and the Hauwei so that she could see what is going on. So much for leaving the boat early to avoid the bank holiday traffic jams!!! Rosie
  8. There are certainly a lot of the Swan boats out at the moment. Having hired a number in the past prior to buying into MS they are certainly great boats. Here's hoping they stay that way. SueH
  9. Congratulations. We are on Moonlight Shadow moored at the Potter Heigham Staithe opposite the Herbert Woods Yard at the moment. Small world! Back down to the south tomorrow, a long days travelling ahead. SueH
  10. Or an easy accessible cockpit. I could probably try from inside the stern footwear. SueH
  11. Got smaller head arriving tomorrow just in time for next trip on Shadow.. SueH
  12. We always take ours from home when go to the Boat. Works a treat, mind you last time I forgot to take the charger! SueH
  13. Thoroughly agree. I find that I am not agile enough to 'jump' so have to wait until Martin is right against the side before even attempting it. If the wind is blowing us off then it takes a while! I know that we should be able to find moorings that are blowing us on, but I don't particularly like overgrown/wild moorings and we need somewhere where we can get Rosie off safely. One of the problems with dogs with little legs, she mostly needs carrying! SueH

    Tolls

Well, credit card debited this morning and the discs arrived in the post later. Good timing for our next trip as we can replace at the same time. MS will be legal before 010416. Just waiting for BCBM to reimburse. SueH

    Tolls

Yeah. The Moonlight Shadow invoice arrived in my inbox today as well. Couldn't pay it on line - BA's system keeps crashing. Oh well, phone call it is ......... Still at least BCBM will reimburse the expenditure. SueH
  16. Rosie already is. As with everything though, those of us who love our dogs and try to be responsible owners will get them chipped. The toe-rags of this world will just ignore the new rules. Policing it will be really difficult I feel. SueH and Rosie
  17. until
    35th anniversary trip
  18. until
    On board again
  19. until
    Birthday trip.
  20. Hello. We are off tomorrow to Shadow. One of our moorings for the week will be Loddon Staithe. It will be very interesting to see what this area looks like now. SueH
  21. Looks like when we are on MS next we will have three bins in the kitchen not one: Normal Tins/bottles Cardboard HWMBO will need a bit of retraining me thinks. Suehj
  22. Hi Alan You know share boats are a bit like London Buses. You think they are all stable and nothing changes when all of a sudden two (share sales that is) come at once! SueH
  23. Hi all. It hasn't stopped raining here in sunny York for about 14 hours. The awning floor is now flooded, water seeping underneath the groundsheet. Haven't ventured out yet, but Rosie has just come in wet after her morning constitutional! The site in the centre of York has been evacuated, or so we have been told. Someone arrived here yesterday and told us that they had been given until 09:00 today to leave as they were sandbagging the entrance road. Those poor people in Cumbria must still be suffering. My heart really goes out to them. Maybe a visit to John Lewis (there are other stores available) may make us feel better. Hope you all had a good Christmas and that the New Year is an improvement! SueH
  24. I'm thinking about it, fortunately it has just rained! sueH
  25. I know the feeling. Strictly seven days a week for three months. HWMBO is quite pleased, he doesn't have to disappear into the workshop at 18:30 when ITT starts. sueH
