Hello All

 

I have been a long time lurker but have now joined up. I am 37 years old, married and a father of 2, Have been hiring boats for about 10 years, (always been a Royalls hirer, and very said at their annoucement) and last year took the plunge to purchase our own boat which is moored at Stalham. Wife has been visiting the broads since she was 6 months old.

Thank you for the warm welcome. 

 

We have ex Richardson's hirecraft Crown Gem 2. Needs a few bits doing. But is ideal as a weekend boat for the family. Kids love it.

Richardsons have used that name on two different craft in the past, a 27ft Elysian Bounty and a 25ft Birchwood. Which one do you have?

27 ft bounty. Circa 1978. I believe the boat started life out on the Thames before moving to Stalham.

Howdy doody there Gareth, welcome aboard , we were on CG4 in May of this year , and as you do you have a nosey around the boat yard  at other boats , i think we saw  your Boat . a cracking little ship if ever there was , we my wife and I fell in love with Crown Gem 4 , back on her again next May can't wait .

Thank you for the welcome. We are fast approaching a year of ownership. 

Where did the time go???

Love the little boat (CG2, never thought if shortening it to that). Ideal for getting that last mooring at the busier locations. Doesn't take to long to clean,and heat on those chilly mornings. Most of all allows passage under potter bridge. We must have been past the bridge half a dozen times. More often than not we end up mooring on our own.
