Too big for the broads.

Phew!!!

Too big for most canals, even if you fitted propulsion. 74ft and wide beam. Only any good as a house boat. Moving it will not be cheap either.

If you moored on the bottom of Hickling Broad would you get moved on?

Not for a while, the dredger is at Horning, still on the clubs up river camera, it seems to have moved a bit more up river since yesterday...

I never have been one to look for boats for sale on Ebay. Now I see how many there are - even 'speed boats'! :default_cool:

A good coastal delivery job for Team BA then?

What are they going to tow it with? It must go a hell of a weight! John White Boats builds steel canal boats. Even Robin's 1000hp with it's set up will struggle with that on the end of a tow. Two words come to mind "White and Elephant"

I think that should go on the back of a truck, don't fancy having that trailer attached to my car.

I did see a big wide beam barge on the witham once called enigma, it had a large wheelhouse on top on hydraulic arms that folded over the back to sit behind the main hull, it was just folding back up after coming through torksey lock when I saw it, very impressive design.

I will have to try and find some piccies of it.

Found it!
