TheQ Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 It looks like the top "cockpit" should fold down, which means it would go under the bridges. would look good in Hickling broad... 1 Quote
ChrisB Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Wonder why NO engine. 5 minutes ago, MauriceMynah said: Too big for the broads. Phew!!! Too big for most canals, even if you fitted propulsion. 74ft and wide beam. Only any good as a house boat. Moving it will not be cheap either. Quote
JamesLV Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 That and it’s ‘sister’ boat the titanic have been up for sale sale for a fair while, can’t possibly think why... Quote

TheQ Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Not for a while, the dredger is at Horning, still on the clubs up river camera, it seems to have moved a bit more up river since yesterday... Quote
JennyMorgan Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 A good coastal delivery job for Team BA then? Quote
LondonRascal Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 I never have been one to look for boats for sale on Ebay. Now I see how many there are - even 'speed boats'! Quote

John White Boats builds steel canal boats. Even Robin's 1000hp with it's set up will struggle with that on the end of a tow. Two words come to mind "White and Elephant" Quote
LondonRascal Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 But you can get speed boats on there and everything..But I like the projects for a couple of hundred pounds. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Broom-Speedboat-with-trailer/192514297420?hash=item2cd2bf0e4c:g:OysAAOSwafta11l8 Quote

Smoggy Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 (edited) Quote It looks like the top "cockpit" should fold down, I did see a big wide beam barge on the witham once called enigma, it had a large wheelhouse on top on hydraulic arms that folded over the back to sit behind the main hull, it was just folding back up after coming through torksey lock when I saw it, very impressive design. I will have to try and find some piccies of it. Found it! Edited April 26, 2018 by Smoggy Found piccie. 1 Quote
