Corina
Hi everybody, newbie here. This is a bit of a long shot, this photo is me in 1985 on the broads somewhere! I would love to recreate this photo with my 15 yr old daughter in front of the same windmill, trouble is, I have no idea where it was. Can anyone help

Guest
Is it not the Berney Arms Windmill
Wildfuzz
The only one I can recall with a similar bridge nearby is the Hickling side of Potter heigham bridge, it is now a residence I think, on the left as you head towards Martham, and set up a little cut.

I've circled the fence and stile she is sat on. In my opinion anyway
Vaughan
I am pretty sure there is only one mill on the Broads like that, at Berney Arms. It is a genuine mill as well, as it was built to grind the aggregate for the cement factory, as well as for pumping the marsh.

SPEEDTRIPLE
It definitely IS Berney Arms Mill. Don`t forget the photo is taken at different angles, shooting from lower down the bank and pointing up, and at an angle from the river bank, so the symetry of windows etc may appear different, and as Jayfire has pointed out, the stile (not a bridge) is on the high level path between the mill and the river. It will be interesting to see the results of the difference in pics, plus Corina (welcome from me too by the way) should have her pic retaken in the same pose today. Broads01
Yep, Berney 100%. Welcome Corina. By coincidence I'm also starting from Stalham on 1 September.

Im the one on the left lol I always like old photos of Salhouse taken before the mooring quay was created. It brings back a strong childhood memory of climbing one of the trees looking down at our boat below, bow on the sand bank. Bring back sand banks I say, saves all that hassle of tying ropes around posts.
