I think those of us who knew Iain miss him very keenly indeed and this forum is certainly a poorer place without him. His gentle wit was a joy

We often talked on the phone or by emails, being both from an electrical trade background, sadly we never met.

He was always in our thoughts and we dedicated the Broadscot lounge in his memory.

I still have PM messages from Iain, from back in April 2016. I joined a while before that though, but in the time I was away from here after 2016 we lost him and I was deeply saddened when I saw him not posting when I came back so searched the site and found out that he had passed. I also remember him from doing the quizzes on the other site before here a good few years ago now.

I remember having several conversations with Iain about how he used to fly down to here (Hurn Airport, Bournemouth), so i told him next time he was to fly down here, we`d meet up. He never did, and i was really sorry to hear he had passed away, and that we would never meat up.  It makes you understand why it`s not worth baring grudges or animosity to someone, as you may never get the chance to say sorry to eachother and reconsile your differences.

Happy Birthday Iain, and may you be up there cruising the rivers of Heaven?.

I miss him. He was very supportive to me in my hour of need. I still read our many pm's when I'm looking for advice.

We did have plans to meet up, unfortunately it never happened , then he was gone.

Im quite proud that it was my suggestion to name this lounge after him and very thankful the mods agreed.

A top lad so he was .
