Book Recommendations Wanted

Are there any books about the design of motor cruisers on the Broads, the fitting out and the yards that built and ran them. There must be a wealth of information including everything from the technical to amusing anecdotes..

I have been asked what would I like for Christmas!

Bah, humbug!

There is certainly a book about Herbert Woods as I have a copy somewhere, and there is also one about the Elanco story (Landamores).

But plenty of books on the Broads generally and Black Sailed Traders  by Roy Clark on the wherries. That is currently being reprinted by his family and will be out before Christmas I believe.

There are several books that I'm waiting in fevered anticipation to be published or in fact written. These include:

An Idiots Guide to the History and Hostelries of the Norfolk Broads by M Mynah
Off the Wall and the follow up Ponderer on the Palisade  by A Wussername
Great Heart the History of Hearts Cruises by Vaughan
Let Them Eat Cake by D Brundall Navy A guide to the baked goods of the Norfolk Broads.
Ow much? A history of Yorkshiremen in Norfolk by B Ambition.
Morning Mardle A collection of short stories set in the Norfolk Broads by A Wussername and V. Ashby
Course it'll fit! The memoirs of Ex-Pilot.

There are a few others...

Latham’s newsagent had a couple of copies when I was in there about two weeks ago. A brilliant read.

I don’t wear any but I’d still like to see yours...............:default_icon_eek:

I'm not sure my little lady would be very happy with me if I were to go showing my hose (like in Robin Hood) to everybody Mrs V.

And when she isn't very happy with me............well let's just say I am the one who suffers and my hose (not like in Robin Hood) has to get put away for a while

Anyway, back to Ray's books :default_smiley-angelic002:
