Ray
Are there any books about the design of motor cruisers on the Broads, the fitting out and the yards that built and ran them. There must be a wealth of information including everything from the technical to amusing anecdotes.. I have been asked what would I like for Christmas! Bah, humbug! Paul
this is on my reading list, not quite on topic nut still looks interesting. https://www.localeastanglianbooks.com/new-books-info
marshman
There is certainly a book about Herbert Woods as I have a copy somewhere, and there is also one about the Elanco story (Landamores). But plenty of books on the Broads generally and Black Sailed Traders by Roy Clark on the wherries. That is currently being reprinted by his family and will be out before Christmas I believe.

VetChugger
Robin Godber's book "A Broad Experience" is well worth a read. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Broad-Experience-Norfolk-Broads-century/dp/0903094258/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?keywords=abroad+experience+robin+godber&qid=1574210166&s=books&sr=1-1-fkmr1 2
NorfolkNog
I'll second that. Got mine from Brian Wards - not sure if they still have any in stock. Might be worth asking if you're interested.
SwanR
This is a good site for looking for out of print books. They have one copy of A Broad Experience at the moment but at a much higher price, the description seems to indicate that it's a signed copy. https://www.abebooks.co.uk/

MauriceMynah
I recently researched Ezekiel Blomfield and his historic meeting with Sir Humphrey Davey. It is odd that more is not known about this, but I hope my research will rectify this shortcoming.

And when she isn't very happy with me............well let's just say I am the one who suffers and my hose (not like in Robin Hood) has to get put away for a while Anyway, back to Ray's books
