ChrisB
These photographs of the 2013 Hire Boat Regatta on Barton Broad were taken by my late wife Judith. If they look familiar it may be because she had them published in Anglia Afloat. Following publication Anne Whelpton contacted her and asked if she could used them in their promotional material.

vanessan
Thoughts of yesteryear, rather different views and moorings! (These are photos of photos so apologies if not too clear. No smartphones etc in those days, in fact mobiles were only just taking shape.) The houseboat was called Monte Carlo, quite different to Richardson’s version.
vanessan
I guess I should have said - they were taken on the River Murray in Australia.

Fingers crossed!
Hylander
Just as you were getting the idea that the peace and quiet of the Broads was missed, these quick snips are from 2012 and were taken when Richardsons on a really sunny August day had one of those moments when everyone but everyone appeared to be going on their jollies. I have tried to pick the ones that dont show people clearly so as to protect their privacy. MVI_3821.AVI

ChrisB
Just because it reminds me of when I was young and there was an off the Beach fishing industry the length of Kent and Sussex, I love the Rock-a-Nore quarter in Hastings. Bit pushed so have collaged some photos.

My love of Chelsea football club began.Chelsea were playing Leeds utd in the FA cup.Because we were from London the locals took the kick.Funny before I went there,I didn't support any club.Just glad it was Chelsea and not some teams I could mention! I would like to walk it, but the other half probably isn't up to such a long treck. If we get up there in Summer or Autumn, maybe....
ScrumpyCheddar
Last year’s holiday on the Broads will stick in my head forever... Two reasons. 1. Meeting up with Great friends.. Especially The late great Boycee drinking Gins on top of the Gin Palace we hired... 2. The boat.. Hmmm yes when turned up at the boat yard I thought what the bloody hell have I done.... Yes we hired Broom exploerer 2 wow what boat.. The wife’s idea... just the two of us onboard with 3 on suite rooms... and the best bit full size fridge freezer... And the outer deck to sit at and watch the world go by and pilot the boat... Best Broads holiday we had and great memories we will always have of Alan..
