marshman
Thats always good for the county - but I do wish those flying the flag would fly the right one!! The one with the red flash across the top is the Norfolk County Council flag or something like that - the correct Norfolk flag is just yellow with black band across. Thats nearly as bad as flying the Red Ensign from a jackstaff!!
BroadAmbition
Nearly but not quite. Mind you we fly the Gods Country white rose from the ensign staff Griff
gancanny
these nautical terms have me confused, (which is very easy), what is a jackstaff and an ensign staff, lol
TheQ
The jack staff is on the bow from which the Union Jack is flown, the only time it is the Union Jack, if it's flown elsewhere its the Union Flag. The Ensign staff is on the stern.. 1
marshman
Us old gits don't mean to be picky but if tradition is to be carried forward it must be done so proper!

marshman
Sorry John - the verbal description was merely to draw the attention of those interested that it the correct one did not have the red bit across the top ,which most choose to fly!!!! BroadAmbition
How on earth can you possibly claim that Norfolk is Gods own country? 1) Three wise men? 2) Virgins? Then of course Yorkshire is mentioned in the Bible - Three wise men came from the East Riding - on camels Lastly after COVID lockdown ended, JC said to his Dad ‘Where have you been?’ God said touring Yorkshire JC - During lockdown? God - I’ve been working from home son Griff 1
