Bluebell
Although we’ve never met, I have met Alan when he sorted out the carpets for our Hampton, Bluebell. Wishing you all the best…🤞🤞😎
Chelsea14Ian
I've found it important to stay positive, which I think I've down.Dont get me wrong it's not a easy ride, but I've listened to Doctors, nurses etc.And take each day as it comes. The Macmillan nurses have also been a get support and are almost my friends. I intend to take part in the National Macmillan coffee morning end of September. Hopefully I can raise a few Bob for Macmillan.

Chelsea14Ian
Just got back from our sightseeing in Cambridge. Quite a long day.Went on the hop on hop off bus.Good way to see the city.Perhaps the most almost overwhelming stop was the American War Cemetery. I went there many years ago.If you are there worth a visit. A few photos.

Lulu
The Fitzwilliam Museum is well worth a visit. Even though I have lived near Cambridge for most of my life, I’ve never been punting. My son had a great time when he went. Another lovely place to sit and relax and have good food is the Orchard Tea Garden in Granchester. I go there quite often with a friend in the summer sitting in deck chairs in the orchard eating cake :) . https://www.theorchardteagarden.co.uk Hope all goes ok this afternoon. 1
Chelsea14Ian
Thanks now heading back to the hospital. Tomorrow we are going to Ely perhaps by train.Takes about 20 minutes. Friday have to be out of the room by 11.00am.Treatment then at 2 o'clock, then home, last one next Monday. So far okay, mainly running on empty in the afternoon, but seeing the city and better weather helps.

addicted
Thursday is market day in Ely so a good day to go, The Cutter on the river front is a good place for lunch at least it was, it's a while since we went. The riverbank opposite is where we moored for 15 years. Have a good day. Carole 1

I can wholeheartedly second that recommendation. I’ve only been once, quite a few years ago, my sister took me (she lives in Cambridge). I enjoyed it so much I’ve always wanted to return but didn’t actually know where it was, so thanks Sam. Good luck with the rest of the week, Ian. You seem determined to make the most of it, well done you.

For many not a problem, but for ne it is.Got to the Tourist information, a lady there said a bus runs from Tesco, didn't see it. Anyway having some fome. Then will try and get to the river.

kpnut
What a lovely uk mini break you two have had. The real reason for being there must be so disheartening for you but you have managed to turn the week into a very positive experience. Thankyou so much for sharing. 1
Chelsea14Ian
It's been perhaps very unusual to say the least.A mixture of treatments and sightseeing. It's my hope if possible that I can show others that Cancer is clearly a tough battle. But remain positive,do what medics tell you to do.Dont be afraid to ask questions, try to eat well, remember your family and friends. They often don't quite get it.Trwat yourself occasionally, and treat them too.Remember if you don't feel welk, get yourself checked.Dont ignore it.
