Just been having a snoop around and noticed that we are about to welcome our 1000th member !

 

Is this a good enough reason for a party?

 

I know that certain blonde female members do not need an excuse but thought that others might like to join in.     lol

Charming, anyone would think I was a party loving, pole dancing lush lol :naughty: Seriously1000 members is excellent, well done Skipper and Mods :clap although I do think there are a few members on here who are not quite right in the head so to speak don't you agree Broadscot, Jaws, Ryadhcrew, Timbo, MM, Deebee, G&W, Littlesprite, Poppy, Jeffbroadslover and Ranworthbreeze? Not that I would reveal who I believe to be said fruit cakes now would I?  :naughty:

Having now read grace's post several times I still can't decide whether she is seeking the wisdom of my superior intellect or suggesting I'm not right in the head, I'll try taking one of the yellow pills and two of the blue and see if that makes it a little clearer.

Hi Jeff,

 

The forum has had over a thousand members a number of times, the administrators and moderators decided on culls of members that had joined and hardly logged into to post or view almost every time the forum has been updated, this helps with migration and promotes an healthy forum.

 

The forum is now a place where people do actually login in to make use of Broads information to find out if anything will disrupt their visit to the Broads, where to get that repair done or that service undertaken, what pubs are open or where to go for that BSS inspection.

 

Forum members talk or debate with the friends they have made, share jokes good or as usual very bad, boating tips are given, advice and reports of restoration and projects are very well received and enjoyed by all, likewise tales from members holidays on the Broads or from other waterways.

 

We are advised of there is no such thing as too many shoes, scooters may go faster with stripes, its nice to have a broad at the bottom of ones garden and if in any doubts "Get off of my Land"

Beautifully put Alan  :clap The information on the Broads and Boating from very experienced and informed members is priceless. The Lounge is excellent for discussing anything non Broads related, even different waterways,. Most of the people I have come in contact with on here are smashing and the Skipper ain't bad looking either so what's not to like lol

 

Long may the NBN continue, I hope to be a member for an awfully long time and maybe meet some of you in person one day, if the above makes me a creep, then so be it, yes Eric, you are a little bit of a fruit cake and Martin carry on taking the pills if I were you  :naughty:

I would just click your ruby red glass slippers (white when empty)and wish to be home in Norfolk; it might work but if not console yourself with the contents.

Morning all,

 

I of course the Admiral and I are the sensible ones on here, just like MM,  :naughty: I try to keep at all times discussions of a serious nature, well serious! The problems arise when someone goes off thread, very very ocassionaly, not that that happens on this Forum, much :norty: Nine months ago, yes its that long, I was asked to join the team of Moderators, god knows why, must be my age has summat to do with it, you know hes getting on a bit, goes off his trolly the odd time or three, but, tries to help keep the members in check (not a hope in hell) on all subjects put on the NBN. 

 

BTW I LOVE my job on here, reading post after post, you learn things about people, even those with a shoe fettish, takes all kinds I suppose :naughty:  eh Grace :kiss

 

Oh yes and gents please don't take the blue tablets, they are Viagra according to the latest FIAT tv advert! :naughty:  :naughty:  :naughty:

 

Six days to go, NOT that I am counting them down :norty:

Four days for us.  Due to pick up MS on Saturday.  Mooring booked at Oulton Sunday/Monday so we will be settled in time for the speed boat racing Monday night.  Picnic and seat in the park I think.

 

From there two days booked at Beccles on the river to watch the comings and goings.

 

First time up there over a BH - will be interesting to see how busy it is.

 

Now will we need to take the convector heater or not - being a soft southerner :dunce:

 

Of course, the day we come back the stoppage at Postwick is back again.  Will be interesting to see where the diversions take us.  As I do the first bit of driving before Bishops Stortford services ............!

It seems we have both been included in the list of suspects by Grace. I can't really speak for Wendy but I can confirm that since joining this forum, I have definitely become some kind of NUT!  What kind of nut, is hard to define! Am I a hazel nut, a walnut, an almond, or a pistachio nut, or maybe a Monkey nut, yes I think that sounds just about right. Wendy does like Cadburys Fruit & Nut chocolate, so I suppose she is a Fruit & Nut case. The fruit aspect of it, softens the nut some what, which is more befitting for a female, whilst us male species don't need the fruit added. Does that make sense? In other words I am assuming that I can be called a complete and utter NUT!  :rolleyes:

Nah we aint nutters on here, we are all Broads minded folk, who apart from our love of all things Norfolk Broads, we, - I can only say that by what I read on here - love a bit of a wind up and a laugh or three. Maybe not MM and Timbo, they are very serious gentlemen indeed, and very highly articulated gents. :angel:

 

So there you have it, we aint nutters at all, fruit cakes, now that's a different matter entirely! :naughty:

1000+ members certainly is impressive.

 

What is even more impressive imho is the number of ACTIVE members within the forum.  Having multiple thousands of members may look good but the reality of a truly active and diverse forum lies in the number of members that actually log in and use the place

 

Ok I admit MM is not that active when ashore, and Alex is most active when horizontal and snoring whenst he doth repel  borders off lawns :naughty:
