I think the waving is rather nice.  

 

I have taken to saying good morning to everyone I see while taking Rosie out for her constitutional.  Get some awfully funny looks sometimes.  Some people ignore us and some want to stop and chat.

As the saying goes! There's nowt as ***** as folk. It takes all sorts, those that are sociable, and the miserable gits. I can honestly say, I'm not one of the latter!

When out on the river today saw a private boat with a big sign in the window saying "Good morning". I am not a committed waver but could not resist a wave and a good morning as we passed.

He waved to us as well, even though we were on a tatty wooden Martham Silver Jubilee. And to Spider Junior on a (quite smart!) little half-decker. Maybe it's the wood!

There's a rather...large lady, that always makes a point of waving to the beagles when we go into Stalham. The first time she waved, so large were her gesticulations I thought she was in distress and went to see if we could help. Don't know the lady's name but we call her Sue N'Army.

I have a public footpath that runs down the side of my garden and it's always been a popular dog walk. Long have I greeted the dogs, despite some perplexed expressions from the owners. Dogs do seem to appreciate it!
