SwanR
I can't remember when they start nesting but I did see one there as well myself not long ago.
BuffaloBill
Also for those interested....The Cuckoos have already started their migration northward about 6 weeks early! One in particular has covered around 1100kms. Does this mean an early spring is on the cards? Birds and animals have an instinct for this. Will be interesting to see.
Timbo
As I type there are large 'wings' of geese flying South over Lincolnshire. Migration or bad weather ahead?
ChrisB
Most raptors breed early because they have to spend a much greater time with their parents to learn their craft to hunt and survive than for instance seed and worm eaters. ranworthbreeze
I was looking at the webcam a short while ago and there was a Peregrine looking up at the camera. Lets hope this is a sign of more to come. Regards Alan
SwanR
Just took a couple of snaps from the webcam. This peregrine was having a good look round and tried settling down for a few seconds.

Gracie
Doesn't he/she look beautiful, looking forward to the mate arriving, the eggs being laid and waiting for them to hatch, been watching them on the cam for a couple of years, it's fascinating how they take it in turns to sit on the eggs and when the chicks arrive take it in turns to feed them, hmmm the sharing of domestic responsibilities, watch and learn boys Grace
addicted
Every spring on Brundall Bay marina a cuckoo arrives. Each spring I llisten for it and get anxious in case it has come a cropper somewhere on the way. It is such a relief and I am so delighted when I hear it for the first time. then after a few weeks when it's constant and repetitive call is driving me cuckoo I wonder why I am so anxious to see it back each year Carole

addicted
I'm never happier than when i have to dust the cooker because that means we've eaten out so often the cooker has managed to gather dust. Carole
SwanR
I have just seen news on Facebook that there has been a pair of peregrine falcons seen mating at Norwich Cathedral in the last few hours, believed to be the resident male and the new female. ranworthbreeze
One of the birds was at the nesting box a few moments ago squawking away I assume it must have been at the other bird. Regards Alan

Shows that the first egg last season was laid one year ago today. http://upp.hawkandowl.org/norwich-peregrines/egg-laying-hatching-fledging-data-2012-14/

ranworthbreeze
Hi Tony, Thank you for the update, I have just seen footage of the Bath Peregrine with the red coloured egg. I have created a link to the webcam in the alternative webcam section on the forums. http://forum.norfolkbroadsnetwork.com/forum/313-other-webcams/ Regards Alan
vanessan
Nothing much seems to be happening at Norwich. I was looking yesterday and one peregrine was sitting on the edge squawking until the second came and fed it with a large piece of something rather red and bloody! Nothing in sight at the moment.
