Blimey, you don’t hang about do you. I think that must have been you passing just as I was climbing onto Lady Linda this morning. Nice to hear the ferry are doing well at this time of the year. Always was a popular pub. Hope you have a good week.

Howard, am I right in thinking you were able to moor there because you know the owner but it's not a mooring generally available to hire boats?

According to the BA list of moorings, there are two visitor spaces at Swancraft, but their list is way out of date.  It would always be advisable to call Paul first and there is a charge.  Electric and water to all moorings, fuel and pump out, too.

I asked last year and I think it was £10 to stop overnight in Swancraft. We may well take up that option if we eventually manage to get down south in the colder months, when we like to have electric. Doesn’t look very likely that we’ll make it south out of season this year though given the tides that are forecast for our November week.

By the way, is there any news on the Whitlingham moorings? Apart from being woken up by early morning rowers (surprisingly noisy), we used to love those as a winter mooring with an electric point and handy for dog walks. Last time we passed there were ‘no mooring’ signs.
