SwanR
So this morning we went out to see the daffodils. They are in full bloom on the green round the corner from our house. And here's a few photos I took at RHS Hyde Hall. The holly was in flower and I'm told that's a little on the early side. Camellia bushes had buds coming out as well.
BroadScot
Right then, WHO is cutting/mowing the lawn? Iain
SueH
I'm thinking about it, fortunately it has just rained! sueH
SwanR
Apparently one of our neighbours was out doing just that yesterday. And ours could definitely do with a trim. Forgot to mention that there were also bumble bees flying around. Daffodils and Christmas trees is not something I ever recall seeing together before. SteveO
I mowed mine two weeks ago. It was difficult because the ground was wet, but if I hadn't done so, it would have been over 6 inches long by now. steve
BuffaloBill
We have Snowdrops, Daffs and Cowslips in flower and also noticed yesterday that one of our Magnolia's has several partly opened buds which have been burned brown by the cold wind which blows down our road. Round the corner is a Flowing Cherry in FULL flower too! Now, where's that Cuckoo...........
SwanR
We have some red roses in our garden as well.

Both of our next-door neighbours have done theirs this last week which is a bit of a bummer as they've also done the grass verges to the road on either side of ours! Ah, well............
Hylander
Its not too late to get the mower out. Management here went reluctantly out to the garden to mow, muttering something about a couple of days before Christmas and I am mowing the lawn. The trouble is it takes you as long to clean the mower afterwards.
TheQ
Living out in the howling winds on the coast our daffs have not shown the slightest inclination to stick their heads up and we have several hundred in several varieties. As to the mowing yes I need another trip up and down the garden but that has not been unusual over the last ten years.
Springsong
The chancellor mowed the grass yesterday in the company of butterflies and bumble bees. Quite extraordinary in late middle December.

SteveO
We were by the sea at Hythe today. Bright blue skies, warm sunshine, lots of people around, kids playing in the sand. Beautiful weather for 2 days before Christmas. Steve

Paul
We have snowdrops in the front garden, daffs in flower in the back. The front lawn was mowed this morning but the back is just too wet to even walk on. The white geraniums in the front planters are still in full flower as are the patio roses but the hellebores are nowhere to be seen. mad
