  1. Hi Neil, The lad at E********e mentioned that exact thing that happened to you ! To watch out and not make that error. Iain.
  2. Hi Alan, I had my car in for repair after someone blootered my side of the car. I was given what I and many others called in those days the Vauxhall "SHOVE IT"Chevette. It it the worst car I have ever driven, As for vans we had to hire a Luton Bedford to take all the materials for a job in Edinburgh, the problem was it was governed supposedly to 56mph, nah more like 46mph and I think even the old dearies in a Citreon 2CV overtook us on the M8 going uphill! Best I have had without a doubt, was the last one, a turbo charged diesel 5008 Peugeot, the first time I have driven one with the electric handbrake. Also a five door Renault Clio I couldnt get in it! So had the three door version.Only had that thankfully for three days. The thing that has always worried me, is the marks on the body work, a way of charging us more for the hire, its not happened to me, yet, but have heard of it happening to others. Iain.
  3. Oh does that mean lots n lots of these things? with lots of these trying to avoid them Iain.
  4. May I say, I have spent many hours reading that excellent site of Carols. Years of research there. Enjoy Ian. Iain.
  5. Hi Jim, Enjoy the crossing, if you follow all the good info available it will be a breeze. Just remember when turning left into the Bure keep to the right of the Yellow Post!! Have a great holiday, and put a write up, and some picies later on here. Iain.

  8. I started from Hearts in the late 90's. Rarely saw it at 8ft clearance, must have been a very low water. But agree, a nice place to moor. Never really noticed the traffic. Iain.
  9. Hi Alan, Aye do return, but I wid give it time to settle down, By all accounts just now its manic at weekends. Don't go near it if Falkirk FC have a home game, its busy enough without football traffic. The sign at the visitors attraction says..."Hawd yer Horses" lol .All will come to those that wait, I guess. Iain.
  10. Just to add, its that new, all the car parking is not complete yet. It has proved a victim of its own success. The Visitor Centre will open next year. Iain.
  11. Ah I was just about to do that also Dave. Ta Muchly. Iain.
  12. Hi folks, While away at the weekend at Linlithgow, I sent out the happy snapper SWMBO with her sister to a new attraction up here The Kelpies. You can see these amazing pieces of engineering as you drive along the M9,

  21. Alan, the married one being a retired Lecky yes, my Belling Double oven is 100% Electric the hob is gas. The space provided to connect the cable to any oven now is not easy, it is designed that way so you use proper qualified tradesmen. Iain.
  22. Well Robin, elf n safety cooking it was not opening tin lids with your fingers, next time use the back of a spoon or a knife to lift the lid, just in case you end up with a sair cut finger or twa.
