  1. It's all an anti speed conspiracy anyway - they've put the bypass through the only clear overtakes on Rackheath and Coltishall roads
  2. http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/can-you-identify-mystery-animal-seen-in-swaffham-1-5094961
  3. Mudweight out the front to keep you off ? I have also seen people use a couple of planks lashed either side as 'stand offs'
  4. I bought a cheap Bluetooth speaker for mine so if I'm watching films or I-player on the boat I can have a decent sound level
  5. Is the 2015 online order form still valid ? I'm having absolutely no joy sourcing a cover 'over the counter' - Wroxham nick is never open, and if you go to Norfolk Marine as the sign on the door suggests they do not have any, nor any idea when they will get them
  6. Kind of glad to be back in my air con office in Norwich today
  7. Be interesting to see if most of those claims are accident or theft. Sail boats have lots of removable gear such as outboard outside, whereas a motor boat with inboard and cabin is a bit different. Then there's dinghies. I had a road trailer stolen from the club last year ( my insurance wouldn't pay on that )
  8. Yeah - I remember when I was learning trying to get the oil/less worn path you see on the road to go under my seat - that way I was closer to the kerb
  9. Hey - my canoe type has a handy drink holder in the seat
  10. Same one as did the car park in Wroxham ? He reduced the wife to tears on at least one occasion. I used to deliberately take a Roys carrier bag with me to put my goods from the precinct in just to see the look on his face.
  11. I've put loads of car parts in the scrap metal over the past few years - have an exhaust to take down shortly
  12. Yes - at the same time as the Wroxham road section is down to one lane. Great planning - not
  13. Good job a college and I never got our daft idea off the ground of fitting a flight deck on my boat and flying our R/C aircraft off it - even designed the catapult and arrestor gear !
  14. A great place to research the old pubs is : http://www.norfolkpubs.co.uk/
  15. I'd been going over Irstead Shoals for around 10 years before I walloped the bottom really quite hard, so it took me by surprise. Going down river ( from Barton ) about a couple of houses short of the moorings I draw 1 metre, bilge keeled yacht.
  16. Nah - plenty of ale pubs in the city where I pay £3.20
  17. £2.65 down on my 23' aux yacht. 99p down on a 14' dinghy It'll get me a pint I guess !
  18. Once upon a time with a Hatty Jaques style Matron, an enema twice daily, and intermittent colonic irrigation, he'd have soon gone
  19. On 'Daddy boat' Mummy boat will have to wait till I go down and bring it home.....
  20. I've paddled past there loads - never even given it a thought
  21. Must admit I've sometimes wondered what the legal position in mudweighting opposite a river mooring and rowing across are, if the moorings are all full. So long as the main channel was not restricted......
