  7. Hi Monica, The Broom's fuel station will no doubt start their winter opening hours soon. My guess is that Saturday should be OK with a finish time of 4.00 pm or earlier Sunday will be debatable if open or not. We advise all of our owners to pump out and fuel up on Monday after lunch or first thing Tuesday morning. Regards Alan
  8. Not in my home David. We had one for my youngest son because of the hours he work, this he never used and in end he gave it away. Each to their own I guess but I regard microwaves with contempt preferring food cooked and having a natural taste. Regards Alan
  9. To be honest the inclusion of a microwave does not in my mind mean a top end boat, when ever we have hired narrow boats we get the boat yards to remove them, our crew prefer the additional space they take up. If there is an oven and hob who needs the use of a microwave? There are far too many gimmicks these days on boats Regards Alan
  10. Hello Mouldy, If you have s much fun as we have had since buying our share in our boat back in 2001 you will do well. Syndicates are not for everyone but if it works for you then it will be a job well done. By the the way we do allow pets and one of our owners used to bring his parrot with him. Regards Alan
  11. Hello Alkemist, Welcome to the forum, a picture would be good and help should be forthcoming. Regards Alan
  12. Same here, I then put the shorter fenders out of the racks to replace the longer ones used. We have got up in morning to see some of the higher place fenders sitting on top of the mooring especially when moored at Reedham Ferry. Regards Alan
  13. Well done Sue, that has to be a great weight off of your mind. Regards Alan
  14. Hello Jon, Thank you for the update on the shares you have for sale. Regards Alan
  15. We might have a look at what Roy's have to offer when we are next on the boat at the beginning of December, which is about right for any Christmas shopping. Regards Alan
  16. The BBC lost the plot many years ago, a bit like Doctor Who. These days we rarely watch the BBC, we may watch the odd program on catch up after sorting through all of the programs with sub titles. Regards Alan
  17. One rule for London whilst the rest of the country has to wait, 62 plus now in Sheffield but with the same travel time restrictions. Regards Alan

  19. Hello Nigel welcome to the NBN forum. Regards Alan
  20. There were reports that these impossible to forge notes had very good forgeries in circulation in less than a fortnight of their introduction. Regards Alan
  21. Hi Robin, Do not be put off, it took to my third test to pass some 46 years ago. My first test should have been cancelled because of the 4 inches of snow at the test center but wasn't, Test number two the instructors car had a new clutch put in the day before the test, sadly with even an extra hour before the test I could not get used to it, the biting point was almost to the top of the peddle. Test number 3 came like a dream and the examiner even cut down the rest time. My instructor always said that examiners always failed a percentage no matter how they drove. At least I was never one of cases where the examiner had to dive the car back. Better luck next time. Regards Alan
  22. Chrome platting has become an expensive exercise these days and that is assuming you can locate a platting company. Regards Alan
