Polly
Welcome Willow, we are boatless too at present, with Brilliant out of the water. We too are hiring to get our Broads ‘fix’. What is your boat?
Cal
We moved on from Ludham Bridge last night after having a bite to eat at the Dog. Decided we needed to let the dog run off some steam so we moved onto How Hill. Now onto our last full day on the Broads. We would like to think we have not come across as grumpy private boat owners to those we have come across during the last couple of weeks. We have enjoyed the company of hire and private boaters. Helped many moor up where possible and watched the antics of both private and hire boaters getting it wrong at times. Naughty-Cal has had a few near misses and has been lucky as far as we can tell so far not to have so much as a minor scuff as yet but we still have another day to go on the Ant so I could regret saying that just yet!
TheQ
I hope you enjoyed your trip on the broads, especially through Horning Regatta. You had just passed my rescue boat when you took this picture, we were the ones waving the keep right, racing ahead , hug the bank, thank you boards. Appropriately the capsized dinghy is of a class called a "splash" he sorted him self out without our help. Just beyond is a small sailing cruiser called Red Orchid the vicar an his family enjoy their racing at regatta week each year. He must do, it's a slow old tub, I'm often asked to go see where she is, the hunt for Red October is on.... He should still win a trophy though...
Cal
We awoke yesterday to huge plumes of blue green algae around the boat at How Hill. So after a walk with the dog we set off and ha breakfast at Neatishead. Then it was onto Wayford Bridge before finally heading to Stalham Staithe for the evening. We had a nice curry delivered to the boat. Today we will do a bit of shopping in Stalham before heading around to Sutton where we will be picked up at midday.

It is a lovely marina. We only intended to stay for 12 months. That was 10 years ago!
Cal
It was busier on our local waterway the Fossdyke Navigation then it was on the Broads yesterday. First time this holiday we didn't get moored where we wanted on proper visitors moorings! Had to break the pins out. On the plus side we were closer to the pub. Cal
It's been a sunny day on the Fossdyke but it ain't the Broads. We have had a run into Lincoln to do a bit of shopping and are now back at Saxilby, this time on the visitors moorings for a BBQ later. There is a band on in the pub later so we will probably head across for a nosey
Cal
And so Naughty-Cal is back on her home mooring cleaned up and ready to on her next outing. She can now take a well earned rest for the week. Over the last two weeks we have travelled some 255 miles by water and used 120 litres of diesel. There has not been a single problem with the boat and she has performed faultlessly for the period of the break. Back to reality and work tomorrow but first we have the rest of today to enjoy. Think we will head to the Pyewipe later for dinner by dinghy.

We often have our moorers Christmas party there as well. Handy as it is only a mile from our home berth.
Kron
Didn't realise the Pyewipe was still there! Gosh that brings back some memories!
Timbo
I have to admit I thought the Pyewipe had closed, but then I whip down Tillbridge Lane and cut around the Cathedral and Canwick since they seem to have stopped digging up bits of Lincoln to trap traffic!
