That’s okay Warren. Brooms engineer has been and sorted out the heating. It wasn’t anything major, just tripped something due to low voltage, so back up and running after a reset. 
By the way, another thing for the manual...if there’s a problem with the heating take note of the sequence of flashing lights on the switch, it helps the engineer in diagnosing the issue.

Well, that was a surprise. Had a call mid-afternoon from our eldest to say he’s unexpectedly been given the week off work, so by tomorrow he should be able to join us. Just as well we stayed in Brundall.

We took Seren to Potter H this afternoon (by car). Water almost over the quay heading and that was only a couple of hours before low water.

Harry is now on board, so we are free to go cruising again this morning. (Yippee!) Graham drove back to MK to fetch him yesterday evening, as we didn’t want to waste a day hanging around Brundall again waiting for him to arrive by public transport.

Not ducks? That’s what my two look for. Come to think of it, they look for anything they can bark at!

She likes anything that moves. Just about trained her not to bark at ducks and swans, she whines when she sees rowers and canoeists. She prefers being on a busy river, with lots of boats passing. She got so bored on the passage from north to south last Thursday she just went to sleep!

We saw Lightening earlier, well Harry did (and waved) but I missed it, having my head down until too late. (Sorry!)

Yes, the water is still relatively high though. About a foot and a half below the quey heading here and it's about half an hour before high tide, according to the board outside the Harbour Master's office.

Our neighbour at Brundall was telling Graham that the water levels around Brundall don't ever get any higher than they were last weekend as the flood water gets diverted onto designated land (farmers get advance notice so that they can move livestock). I was wondering why he didn't bother moving his car away from the quay.

Hi all on moonlight shadow, you past us at herringfleet this morning just as we were prepping to leave. Nice to see the welsh flag flying. Some of our family are in Trefor and can’t wait to see them again. We are back on our home mooring at st olaves. Enjoy your trip, the weather seems better than expected.

One place I've never moored, I shall give it a try. Is it my memory or are the moorings there a fairly recent addition?

I guess the (plastic) pontoon must have been put there when the mill was restored. It was in place the first year we visited the southern broads (2017). 

It's a handy mooring if you have a dog with you, is very peaceful (normally) and has electric posts.

Actually, it's not so peaceful this morning as it's fairly exposed to the east, and a fairly stiff easterly has started blowing this morning. Lots of bow slap. Great!

You can also join the Friends of Hardley Mill. Only a small annual subscription which helps the renovations and maintenance. Each June, not this year for some reason  there is a bbq at the mill which is usually very well attended.
