grendel
this was all shot through a 70mm x 700mm f/l telescope on the front of the camera,
grendel
lens was changed to a standard 200mm lens, not such good results (the first pic was before changing lens). then back to the telescope shooting into the sun as MTB 102 headed away. This is just a random selection as even I have not been through the whole set yet.
diesel falcon
Nice pictures, the 700mm sure shows the dust on your sensor!
grendel
its a very old canon camera, some of those marks have resisted all attempts at cleaning over the years, even resisted sensor cleaning pens. (though there do seem a few new ones) Grendel

Hockham Admiral
I'm loving this thread and I think I need a MUCH bigger 'like' button for the picture of the NBN burgee aboard! I promised Griff LOTS of beer at next year's Spring/Summer Meet if he took a few close ups of it! :clap
Polly
Nice pics, Grendel. I had the honour of driving MTB102 up to Beccles, it was unforgettable!

LondonRascal
I’ve just had a fantastic weekend helping with MTB102 during her stay in St. Katherine’s Dock along with several other classic boats. At times the public were queuing to get on board and the donations tin has been in much use which is great news in helping keeping this historic boat able to visit such events and be out on the water. I’ve filmed a personal tour with Richard Bassey, Skipper, Chief Engineer and Chairman of the MTB 202 Trust and along with footage captured by the crew on the way down and back up will be put together into a video to be shared here. For everybody’s information they are heading back to Lowestoft now, having left London at 06:15 this morning, last update they had passed Canvey Island doing 14 Knots and calm and sunny.
BroadScot
Hi Robin, Oh goodie another video to look forward too! I bet you had a great weekend with the crew etc. Thank you also for latest update on their return passage. Iain.
sos247
i bet Griff has a big smile.... This trip will be another one added to Griff's ongoing story list! Which I must say are quite entertaining....... However, the only thing that let his stories down are when he add things like - Two parrots sitting on a perch......one Parrot said 'can you smell fish?'............... His jokes are endless....... The MTB102 is a fantastic boat, it deserves to stay active for many years to come. Regards Jason
