Hi All,

Ok so I'm looking for everyone's suggestions!

What do I need to put aboard the boat to make it comfortable and fully stocked??

Beer

Mooring Lines

Fendoffs

Matches

???

cheers

a second box of matches, and an emergency lighter.....

I remember one hire boat holiday in the 1970's when  our brew ups were rationed to one at bedtime and one at breakfast on the last day, when we were moored wild with only two matches in the box and no spares.

The lighting of the stove was done very carefully.......

I once borrowed a hire boat, not realizing that since I had only borrowed it that no one had filled up the water-tank. No water, far worse than no tin opener, probably on a par with no toilet paper, especially with two young children on board and moored up for the night miles from anywhere. Moral of the story, check your water & fuel tank before setting off.
