  4. Anybody know how I can get hold of a "hard" copy as I am not due to be down near the broads for quite a while and I can't take my desk top computer to bed with me ? Jeff
  5. Welcome to the forum dnks34. Hope you enjoy your time on Commodore. The big problem you will have is that starting with the best anything else in the future will seem second rate ! lol Jeff
  6. Had a look at the BB webcam earlier. To me it looks like someone or something has clouted the camera and the resukt is that it is now looking straight down on the balcony of the apartment it is mounted on. Jeff
  7. Has anyone thought about contacting the BA and asking what their specific intentions are ? Jeff
  8. When you look at the price of a packet of crisps I wish I had a few hundred acres of potatoes !!! I could then be placing an order with Clive's build team.... lol Jeff
  9. JM you should have thought more carefully B4 you last post. You've now got Gracie trudging around the shops looking for a new pair of bare feet !! lol Jeff
  10. I can't understand the "modern way of driving". When my stepdaughter and stepson were learning to drive they were both taught that speed limits were not in fact limits but were TARGETS. Apparently when you take your test nowadays if you are in a 40 limit area you are expected to do 40 and not treat it as a maximum speed area and travel at about 37 ( the way I was taught many, many years ago. It always amuses me that when I travel at about 60 in a 60 limit area there is always someone who will pass me doing 70 or more. The bit that amuses me is when I am sat behind them at the next traffic lights or junction !! Jeff
  11. Anybody know when was the last time a cruiser ( hired or private) was involved in an "accident" with a power boat during racing? Jeff
  12. Looks to me that if you get fed up with the view you could simply fly off to somewhere new Jeff
  13. Hopefully the word "COSTA" will not be seen anywhere near Potter. If that were to happen Potter would soon close 'cos McD and KFC might be next!! Jeff
  14. Does it all fold flat so you can get through THE bridge ?? Jeff
  15. Looks like the problem may have been sorted Jeff
  16. Having read quite a few reports on here I think that there are some people who would appreciate going back to the "old" idea of stating both Headroom and Length of beds. Jeff
  17. Gracie, When I read your comment I dropped a stitch........think it is somewhere in the cake mix I was making at the time !!! lol Jeff
  18. I notice that Clive has not been tempted to comment on this discussion. My thoughts are "Well done Clive, it's good to know that somebody cares and is willing to do what they can to help promote the area and the visitors who come to spend their money in the area" Why should one man spend his own time and money to do this and then get slaughtered because of one small error? If I were Clive I would probably think twice before trying to help people in the future then everybody would miss out on these informative brochures. After all it is trying to promote local businesses, Not score political points !! Well done Clive and I hope that any more comments are purely constructive and mention other eateries which may not have been included in your first edition of this publication. Jeff
  19. A long time back I suggested the idea of a calendar to show who was going to be afloat and when. The response I got was that the problem with showing these details would allow less desirables to know when you would not be at home and for how long. If they were clever enough they may be able to find out the address of your house and know it was likely to be empty!!!! I can agree with these thoughts but also agree it would be nice to know who was likely to be waving at you Jeff
  20. Maybe Clive should get his thinking head on again if there is an chance of showing others how to do it and make a bob or two After all, all you need is somewhere to operate from, some staff to run it, somewhere to park cars, and oh yes, some boats and maintenance crew, and a friendly bank manager to help you pay for it. lol All you need after that is customers. Jeff
  21. Congratulations Clive, are you getting outnumbered now? Jeff
  22. Hope they don't come over here and hire Clive's pride and joy !!! Jeff
  23. I can imagine one or two problems when taking part in the 3RR...lol Jeff
  24. Hi Geoff and Wendy, I introduced my wife to the Broads on Star Gem's sister boat, Pearl Horizon. Very nice boat with loads of space and comfort for two. The only thing I would warn you of is;- mind your head when going in and out the rear door! I already knew and she found out that it can b***dy hurt if you hit it on the door frame! Hope you enjoy your hols and don't forget not to rush things Jeff
