Many years ago a bike group I was with used a country pub for parties and rallies that had that policy literally, rules were often serve yourself after 2.30am because we're going to bed and take your boots off if you are going to sleep on the pool table, the bar was often littered with sleeping bags in the morning.

Never any trouble and always good beer sales, those were the days...

If you don't mind me asking how did winter hire prices compare with the usual early spring and late autumn hire prices?

They were going to increase the prices for winter but in the end they were frozen

Do you bring an empty suitcase with you, especially for taking back all those newly purchased items?

It's not a shop I've ever been in, either here in Norfolk or in Suffolk when we used to drive past one on the way to the caravan.

We've got one locally , I rarely bother to go in it's not that tempting  quite honestly. It's o.k. for kitchen paraphernalia and we bought a  vacuum cleaner there a couple of years ago at a really good price.
