Meantime
No not Upton Broad Who knew there were so many Broads in Norfolk and Suffolk, yet still you can find some very quiet and very remote ones!

Gracie
Probably totally wrong and never heard of it before but my dad told me there is a place called Calthorpe Broad near Stalham, if he's winding me up I'm going to nick his prosthetic leg x 1

YnysMon
I found Calthorpe Broad on an OS map and almost posted that, but it looked too small and the surrounding landscape looked wrong.

LizG
It's got a sandy beach, low lying landscape and a tall church in the background which isn't Martham. Anything up Waxham way?
Turnoar
Covehithe?
Turnoar
Or Benacre, never sure what the offishall name is, broad by the beach?
marshman
Lets try and narrow it down - north of Potter Bridge? It looks like it but the only one not mentioned so far is is Heigham Soun or White Slea - and its certainly not Blackfleet Broad - or if it is you should not be there!!!! Could be Horsey Church but you say its not Martham (South)? I think you can discount Martham Church as thats on a little bit of a hill. Oh well - if we are patient he will give us a clue!!!!

Broads01
I'm learning something here because I never knew some of these names existed.
kpnut
Is it that tiny little ‘pond’ on the corner of Upton marsh by Thurne mouth? You walk past it if you are walking round Upton marsh from Fleet Dyke end to Upton Dyke end. Like Broads01, I’ve never heard of some of these places, so will spend an enjoyable hour or two with the OS map tomorrow planning done walks from the car next time I’m down at the boat.
kpnut
Or maybe Ingham church in the background if that helps anyone pinpoint it? My guess of the tiny pond would obviously be wrong as the photo shows far more water than is there!! Sorry.
Meantime
Sorry for that. You lot took so long finding the answer I had to pop out for a few beers and an Indian. Do I take Turnoar's first answer or their second answer? It is indeed Covehithe Broad. There is also a Benacre Broad, as well as an Easton Broad. So well done Turnoar I also learnt there are other Broads I knew nothing about. I hope your Dad still has his prosthetic leg Gracie? 4

Smoggy
Covehithe and Beanacre broad are not that close to the main broads as they are halfway between lowestoft and southwold.
