There are traffic lights and single lane working just the wroxham side of the cafe at Rackheath. looks like an inspection cover replacement.

The final barriers around the buildings at the Ingham Swan corner have been removed.

For those of us travelling down from Lincolnshire using the A15 and A17...

Lincolnshire CC seem intent on digging up the whole county and bringing the roads to a standstill. Those roads that have not been dug up are acquiring new speed cameras and visits from mobile camera units at an alarming rate. The city of Lincoln is still choked with traffic as the construction of the bypass continues and to add to this mayhem they have started resurfacing work on all outlying roads and roads feeding onto the A15 and A17.

There were 4 way traffic lights outside the Pheonix Swan yesterday as they repaired the road. They were gone this morning,  but the roads close to the swan are marked up for further repairs..

Probably was run off as it dissappeared,  the farmer must have been wasting a huge amount of water...

Coltishall road just on the outskirts of Norwich by the Rugby pitches, the road has been covered in numerous coloured markings, then just round the corner at the Beeston Lane Junction onwards for a hunhdred yards, more of the same, I suspect a vast amount of chaos will ensue as they'll have to go down to single lane working when they start..

OK this one's not on the broads but it's going to affect many on here, including me..

There will be two periods of scheduled works on Sutton bridge - the first for two unspecified days during the week starting Monday, September 2 and the next for four weeks starting during the week commencing Monday, September 23.

There will be periods of single line working with traffic lights and periods of total closure with diversions... Wisbech anyone?

The road surface is being replaced...

I had a note that the Sutton Bridge closure  work was starting on the 16th Sept - but only the westbound lane was going to be affected. I wonder where you can get some definitive dates which they can stick too, so people can make plans - or is that too easy?

Nice that having announced the work and closures, they are going to change it  - yes the diversion will be via Wisbech!!

No sign of roadworks yet but there will be, it looks like the demolition team have moved onto the old abatoir site Next Door to Tesco Stalham. So I would expect some traffic disruption when the demolish the tall metal building.

This will of course lead onto more disruption later this year. The Site is being developed by Macarthy and Stone, who build retirement homes and "retirement hotels".

As someone I know put it, they build on scraps of land where they hope the elderly won't hear the road noise, but describe the sites as near to shops.. and countryside..

eg "Escape to one of England’s most uniquely beautiful landscapes, where the delights of coastal villages and the tranquillity of the Norfolk Broads are both within easy reach."

But they don't mention it's trapped between the  A149 and Old Market Road.

Come-on now, that is a bit unfair. Their flats in Cromer have a beautiful view over the A148 to a boarded up night club and Morrisons car park, granted the ones in North Walsham are not quite up to the high standards of Cromer.

Bearing in mind they are for 60+ they could have mentioned the nearby boat hire yards. I always smile when they describe their lounges as being "Sociable" as at this stage that really depends on who moves in ? A far better description would be "A spacious comfortable lounge is provided for residents to socialise"

The NDR, yes this is the right thread, they are closing one lane each way today and tomorrow between the Coltishall and Wroxham road roundabouts. I guessing to repair the broken crash barrier under the Bat bridge..

And the short cut between the Hoveton - Stalham road and the North Walsham road, At Beeston St Lawrence is closed..

There are temporary lights and one way working  on the Hoveton to stalham road at the bottom of the hill up to the round towered church.  Its the second time they've put them there and again there seems to be no work going on..
