Well has anyone got thunderstorms , torrential rain etc.   We have been expecting Armageddon all weekend and nothing not even a drop of rain here in the East.

It's rumbling in east Herts at the moment and looks very gloomy - the plant pots need watering so I hope it does rain!

Rained yesterday morning and I managed to wash the car in the rain - saved on rinsing it.  First time I have cleaned it for about a year but I had an encounter with a slurry lorry/tractor on the North Walsham to Wayford Bridge road on Wednesday, it came round a bend too fast and the next thing I knew lumps of something unpleasant dropped on my car!  After the encounter, the large artic that had been on my backs*de disappeared as well - not sure what happened but I didn't hang around to find out.

Hi Hylander as I live in Essex we've got Thunder & Lighting at the moment as I suspected Rain would follow shortly with a Downpour?

Our gardens are gasping for water,   every night we ponder , shall we water,  well it looks like we will have to at least water the toms etc.

I think the dire forecast put a lot of local privateers off for this weekend. Usually Saturday and Sunday sees many of the big gin palaces out and about but both yesterday and today have been unusually quiet. Still quite a number of day boats out from WRC and Hipperson’s and wherever they hire from on Oulton Broad.

Here in Cambs we had a little drizzle this morning but nothing like we have been told to expect fortunately..I'm hoping we dont' get heavy rain as our lillies have just come  to fruition and won't take kindly to that.

Not a drop here in North Norfolk. Been a very sticky humid day but improved as the time passed. Blazing sunshine now! Will have to pump an extra gallon from the well to do the vegetable patch...

Slight drizzle a couple of times briefly in south cambs but mostly sod all, not enough to bother bringing the washing in.

Still nothing here ... not a drop. It did get very humid this afternoon and our garden desperately needs some rain ... but I guess that's good news for all the holidaymakers if it's been that way across the Broads.

We almost didn't head out in the van this weekend due to the dire forecast. Glad we ignored it because we had glorious weather, not a drop of rain and had a great weekend in a cracking location.

It’s finally caught up with us in Suffolk, some heavy rain this afternoon. Certainly not so many day boats out today.

In Norwich yesterday several short downpours... Out on the coast beyond Stalham, a little light drizzle for a short time and that was it..

The promised storm finally got us yesterday afternoon. Torrential rain howling winds .The lillies coped alright but the old English roses were a goner sadly.

Now it’s passed over there’s a beautiful evening sky. The sun’s quite low and the evenings seem to be drawing in a little.
