ExMemberBobdog Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 OK, so earlier this year Timothy West and Prunella Scales were on the Broads filming for the next series of Great Canal Journeys. At the time I thought I heard that the programmes would be screened in October, but I can’t see any sign of them in the Channel 4 schedules. Has anybody got any better information? Quote
Hockham Admiral Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 The report that Series 8 would be shown in October was reported in the Gt Yarmouth Mercury, Bob. You can google Great Canal Journeys Series 8 and nothing yet comes up. Sorry that I can't be any more help. 2 Quote
ranworthbreeze Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Hi John, I get the same results, no information regarding series 8 yet, but I am looking forward to it when it is aired. Regards Alan 2 1 Quote

ExMemberBobdog Posted October 16, 2017 Author Posted October 16, 2017 OK, that’s fine. Just wanted to check I hadn’t missed something. If you lot don’t know anything either I guess it means there’s nothing to know yet. Thanks! 1 1 Quote

JennyMorgan Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Suspect that they are still filtering out all references to the faux BNP, it's taken longer than they thought!! 2 Quote
C.Ricko Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 I can find out but I think there is another programme on BBC2 Christmas day 1 Quote

LizG Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 A reliable source didn't know when I asked on Monday, maybe the same source as C.Ricko was asking? Quote

KaptinKev Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 When I started watching this programme I quite enjoyed it, but what peeved me off was Tim's constant referal to Pru's, shall we call it, forgetfulness. I assume they are getting in on the reality tv thing. 2 1 1 1 Quote
VetChugger Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 For heavens sake! They are both in their 80's and he worries about his wife! He feels the need to occasionally explain Pru's odd comments or memory lapses. I think its admirable of the pair of them to do what they do and share with us. I wonder how many of us will be up to that sort of activity when we are their age! Yes, I know there is "behind the scenes" support. Does it lessen the thing for me?? Not at all. 10 Quote
ranworthbreeze Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 I am really looking forward to the program, not only Tim & Pru but some screening of the Broads. Regards Alan Quote
