ChrisB
This has been a dream of mine since I first saw a 7 litre AC Cobra in the showroom of the Chequered Flag in Edgeware when I was 15 in 1964. And if I could have any car it would still be my choice 56 years later.

NeilB
Not really a dream car, more like a company car but this is due by the end of March.

VetChugger
On a more modest scale, its always been my dream to have a Skoda Yeti! I've always really liked them and, since a certain motoring journalist said it was the best car he had ever driven, I resoved to have one. Mine is not a new one as they ceased manufacture a year or so ago. I've had this for about six weeks now and I am well satified. Its a Yeti Outdoor 2.0 TDI CR [170] Elegance 4x4.

I had one of the first Yetis in 2009. Mine was a 1.8 turbo Elegance 4x4 petrol. Fantastic car and very rapid. I only sold it because I needed an auto for a knee injury. The 1.8 petrols were not imported for very long into the UK.

Until 2005 I had one , 2.5V8 loved it , I was the second owner and she had only covered 28,000 miles , used to take her down to Cornwall and all over loved her , sadly in latter years I wasn’t using her enough and reluctantly decided to sell her after 12 cherished years ownership , many a Sunday was spent polishing her Westminster Blue body

Drive out to the PB at Hickling for one of the directors, maybe the one who lived in Cromer? My dad had one in the 70s, remember being in awe of all those dials and toggle switches! ChrisB
My Father had a number of MK2 through through the 60s 3.4 and a beautiful 3.8 with wire wheels. He was a late convert as Armstrong Siddley had gone out of business he always said the Star Sapphire was a better car for driving down to Italy.
SANTED
Armstrong Siddeley were indeed an excellent car. I used to live quite close to the factory where they were built and it was not uncommon on a sunny day for the factory doors to be left wide open next to the road and you could see the cars being built inside as you walked past. Another local car factory was The Alvis Car Company and two of its more well-known owners were HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and Sir Douglas Bader. Sir Douglas Bader personally used to bring his car back to the factory for its service
ChrisB
The Alvis was a wonderful car, a poor victim of circumstance. The "Mini Man" Alec Issigonis when he was the designer designed a V8. Then Rover wanted to put their V8 into the last design the T21. But British Leyland were blind to their aquired niche marques. I believe that Alvis Cars in Kenilworth are still in a position to hand build you a car, in much the same way as Bristol Cars can. But you need bottomless pockets and getting insurance would require a specialist underwriter. I believe another famous Alvis owner was John Profumo. Still a beautiful car especially in DHC mode.
