Andrewcook
I wonder if I could get freshly made Pizza from Roys convenience store and finish it cooked from the oven . I don't know how easy to do Freshly made Pizza on the Boat?
OldBerkshireBoy
If you can do this at home then you can do it on a boat, it just takes a little longer.
andyg
Now there's a business idea if ever I've seen one.A pizza boat, if we can have an icream boat why not pizza. From Wroxham upto Ranworth, jobs a goodun. Not to sure that giving away a free 2ltr Pepsi max with every pizza would work, might be a weight issue 🤔 watch this space, anyone got any red or green paint they don't need. 😉

Wood fired pizza and motive power at the same time. How ecologically sound is that???
unclemike
used to be a fish and chip boat years ago, anyone remember it?
CambridgeCabby
Well I followed MM many times and it used to smell like a fish and chip shop
CambridgeCabby
I often wondered if there was a market for a “barista boat” , at a return margin of 300% it would be very viable
YnysMon
I like these ideas! Mind you, we’ve not even managed to flag down the ice cream boat yet.

YnysMon
I think we’ve been unlucky, they always been serving people when we’ve gone past.
grendel
we managed it with several boats in the middle of Barton Broad once, all rafted up and drifted while the ice creams were served
stumpy
There was a pizza boat in the early 70s on a big old bathtub - moored at Horning and plied its trade on Salhouse and Blackhorse. I think there was a fire which finished it off.
vanessan
I’m sure back in the 80s there was a bath tub type boat doing takeaway meals. I remember seeing it on South Walsham broad.

Vaughan
56 minutes ago, Buttle said: believe Tom Percival was involved with this. He was indeed. The boat was called the Fish-afloat, which was a pun on Windboats' "Flat-afloat" which was what the boat was. It was run by Tom's brother in law, whose family were in the fish and chip business in Grimsby, so the food was excellent. It ran very well for a couple of years around 1970, but Tom didn't get on at all well with old Cissy Lant who ran the stores at the corner of the staithe and she complained to the council about the smell of frying. So it lost its planning permission.
