I helped doing tea,coffee and home made cakes.Most of which baked by a lady.Ive never seen so many cakes.It was a good  but tiring day.

I enjoy it.I used to help collecting for the RNLI.When we lived in Kent.I spoke with them here twice, and so far they've  not asked me to help.I Now know most of the crew and volunteers at Hemsby.They are a good bunch.

Just seen on Hemsby  Lifeboat  Facebook  page.They raised £18.000. So a great result.Next event  Sunday 28 August 2022, Herring Festival on the beach 10.00am to 5.00 pm.

I think I'm living in an alternative Universe. Younger son's friend just picked him up (unplanned... I'd just served up our dinner). Why have they left this lot on front of our garage door?

I am meeting friends who are staying in a hotel in Yarmouth this evening  for a night out and so I am at the yacht station which is fairly busy.

Yesterday, took one of my grandsons (12 yo) for his first fishing session. Daughter in law thanked me for taking him. You must be joking, there are some things money just can't buy!

Well said! I'm 70 next year and I still fondly remember sitting on a bank with my grandad teaching me how to tie a blood knot! With the tip of his tongue sticking out, of course.

I freely admit to not knowing so doing a little search out of interest. And I do believe you might have been in Gorleston?

Correct. We often go through the Town but don't stop.Today we did,Gorleston. Must say interesting, very pleasant. There's a Mediterranean Restaurant, which think we will visit.

We visited a couple of times. Didn’t really like the strange main street shopping area. But we had a nice drink out down by the beach where some of Yesterday was filmed.

I agree Jean. A strange High Street. The beach however is superb. The grandchildren enjoy it. Did you have a peep inside the theatre. An experience. Good shows. Strange though. Table and chairs. You wave a flag, during the performance to order your drinks. Afterwards I stay at the Pier Hotel, or The Cliff. In order to conform to standing orders, don't you know.

We often visit Gorleston. It always looks to  me as if it's in a time warp 1940s/1950s.
