We are back home, deciding sadly to cut short our time on the boat.I went back to Norwich hospital  on Tuesday for further tests and a scan. They found nodules on my lung. Also now have severe emphysema.I have been referred to a Respiratory Specialist. To say I'm worried is a under statement. Hope this gets sorted quickly. Of course Marina ,Nicola and Alan are also concerned.I was due to have a scan here next Monday. My accident  may have speeded up that process.

Just to make it clear.I had a scan on Tuesday at Norwich hospital  which  showed up serious problems.I had a scan booked next Monday. I need to find out if I need that  scan next week.I will see a specialist hopefully soon.I will speak to our GP tomorrow. For some time now my breathing has become worse. At no time could  I see a GP,that does not help. Each August  in normal years my breathing is checked. Not this year due to Covad.Up to now I have had phone consultations, now they want people to Email reasons why you need to speak to a Doctor. Theres no words I can use regarding such rubbish!

Agree Ian, my health centre is the same. Only polite  way I can describe it is frustrating.

Best wishes and good luck.

After I spoke with our GPs,which was next to useless.I spoke with the local hospital where my scan was booked.Much more reassuring, they got the results  of my visit to NNH on Monday and Tuesday. They will contact  me soon deciding if I need Treatment or not. They said I don't need a scan on Monday.

In my experience the care and treatment  I have received in Hospitals the Ambulance crews and Indeed Hemsby lifeboat crew has been outstanding, and I'm very grateful the care they've shown me Sadly I can't say the same about my local GP surgery.

To get such indifferent service from your GP practice is disappointing to say the least.  Because we are of a certain age and both on blood pressure medication our surgery sends for Tony and me for an annual check-up and I had assumed in the light of the present conditions that would go by the board So  I was very surprised and not a little impressed to receive a call from the practice last week making an appointment for both of us to go and also appointments for us to have a flu jab later this month. Pretty good  I think.

That's good,I've  been told I will have a flu jab ,not sure when.My issues with our GP,s is the fact my pneumonia was only dealt with by phone. Each August (pre) covad my breathing is checked not this year.I can't help feeling  that if they saw me in person, any treatment would have been dealt  with sooner.I simply don't understand why I can be treated  in hospital, yet can't see my GP,s or nurses at my local surgery. Which is only a five minute walk from our house. Now before I can phone the Doctors I must request a phone call on line.In my opinion this will just add to more visits to A&E.
