You just wanna see if Selsie's plank holds...

If it floats his plank was fitted with expert tuition and, if it fails, he bu99ered it up all by himself :default_biggrin:

That is an awful lot of pressure you have put on your apprentice boat builder lol

THURSDAY 25th JULY 2019

Drove to Buckinghamshire stopped for fuel just east of Cambridge. Don't see that temp in the car often.20190725_122446.thumb.jpg.40b2dbb7c1419d6a901fb99b844b1313.jpg

FRIDAY 26th JULY 2019.

Yes, OK, I know I say every year that I am not going to The Game Fair ever again but I am addicted. Seemed smaller this year and better. Gunmakers row much better. At Hatfield House again. They seem to have settled on Hatfield and Ragley. I think Blenheim and Harewood was a better choice.

SATURDAY 27th JULY 2019

For a Bucks man I have never been to Stow. Stunning landscaping by Capability Brown even in the "Dreek"

one rescue boat would have done, how many rescue boats do you need for one man?

I believe (although happy to be corrected), that the Fire Service require an additional boat on scene as stand-by should their boat in the water get into difficulties.

As Henry Ford said when Ferrari were bleeting saying "It's not fair" to have to take on the might of Ford.

" If I have 6ft of resource behind me I don't turn with an inch "

G/box let go.  It was booked in next week for bearings and the like, now however it needs a full exchange box at £1300 inc vat and labour.  Van was due to have about £600 spent on it in suspension / brakes at the end of this month, then a timing belt change another £300., 2 x new front tyres £200 So total to get it back on the road now stands at around £2'300.  Van ain't worth that and I would be running on an engine that has now done 180'000.  So it's time for an upgrade.  Dive down back of settee for a few coppers and lets see what we can come up with, in a hurry too.

I have ‘Found’ a Ford Transit Custom sport 2:2ltr 155bhp. It’s four years old, one owner with just 18000 on the clock. That’ll do it for me. Now to cobble the brass together

Just give the advert to Mrs G with a hint that your birthday is later this month.

Good vans those Transit Customs, a couple of years ago I spent 10 days or so driving a base model one in support of a Lands End to John O Groats cycle ride - bascially spent 10 hours a day in it - very comfy, really nice to drive with a great gear shift and I found the cab had some really nifty storage solutions too!

Now how reliable they are I have no clue...
